    I just received my first order I could smell something rotten through the closed box .lWhen I opened it the smell was so bad I had to openthe windows and doors but the stench still lingers now about 2 hrs later.One of the cans had opened up and the food was rotting so the whole case smelled like nothing I just received my first order I could smell something rotten through the closed box .lWhen I opened it the smell was so bad I had to openthe windows and doors but the stench still lingers now about 2 hrs later.One of the cans had opened up and the food was rotting so the whole case smelled like nothing I ever smelled.I will try chewy one more time but if the next order is is not o.k I will just pay the higher price at the pet store. … more

    Used to be great, now it's disgusting...

    I started buying this food a couple of years ago and it was wonderful. The chicken had the texture of real chicken, it had a nice, natural color, and it didn't have an overpowering odor. I don't know what they did this spring/summer, but the quality is now AWFUL. The "chicken" is a gray cube with strange I started buying this food a couple of years ago and it was wonderful. The "chicken" is a gray cube with strange black spots, the gravy is a gray-green color... The picture I'm attaching shows one fairly normal can on the left (though the quality had already started to go downhill at that point) and the dark, disgusting mystery food on the right. We thought maybe it was just a bad lot but we got another shipment with a different (newer) lot number and it was just as bad. If I wanted to feed my babies gray mystery meat, I wouldn't pay this much for a dang case of dog food. Merrick, do better - your customers are certainly paying for better. … more
