Daisy approved

My Cavalier/Springer spaniel mix loves this food. Previously, I was making her homemade food, but ran out of the extra time. She is an athletic 10 year old ball dog who is 27 lbs. I am very particular with ingredients, and this is one of the only kibbles that doesn’t have corn or pea protein which I researched to be bad for dogs digestion. We do not do grain free diets as they are bad for dogs who could be genetically predisposed to heart conditions, which Cavaliers are. Daisy has remained peppy and energetic on this food. The only down side is it has caused her skin to be a bit itchy occasionally. It has nice small kibble for small dogs. Yes, it’s very expensive, but it’s totally worth it My Cavalier/Springer spaniel mix loves this food. Previously, I was making her homemade food, but ran out of the extra time. Best decision I made
By Anna on Dec 30, 2020
I was so concern about the Vet putting my fur baby on a not so healthy dry food kibble even though Vet kept insisting that was the best food. I felt in my heart my doggie was not getting the best food and after doing intensive research and reading, I decided to change her food to the Merrick brand and now I have peace of mind and my doggie lives it and most important she is es to my healthier food . Chewy customer service also helped me with my thoughts and they were very helpful. Thank you !!

Don’t buy chewy gift cards
By Twintalk on Nov 25, 2020
Don’t buy chewy gift cards I have written other reviews about Chili’s gift cards and somehow they never get published. We will see if this one does. Chewy needs to revise their gift card policy and allow customers to use more than one chewy gift card per purchase. Will not do business with them until they change their policy. I have already told this to the local ASPCA, The local animal shelters a volunteer at , my vet, my Dog Groomer and my dog boarding and of course all my friends and family on social media..

Wanted to love it
By Ashlyn on Dec 26, 2020
I have a 5 year old frenchie and I think she loved this food but she immediately started licking obsessively on her paws everyday. I switched back to Purina pro plan and the licking and itching stopped. I love the merrick brand but sadly my frenchie did not. :(

Wished my dogs liked it
By Matilda on Oct 19, 2020
I'm always feeding my dogs the same food, and even though they like it, it's not the best food so I'm always switching it up and I thought this would be the one, they are just picking at it. I'm not saying it's not good my dogs just aren't going for it.

Very good dog food!
By Suzee on Oct 19, 2020
I used to feed this food to my two small senior dogs and they loved it, just right out of the bag. I find it difficult to keep them happy with food now that they are getting older. After 4 days of eating this food, they don't eat and walk away. The vet says, it's not the food, it's the dog. So, I bought the 2nd bag of Merrick for seniors and now I alternate between the two bags every other week.

My Dog Loves This Food a Lot!
By Rocky on Jun 24, 2020
I had switched my little 24-pound shelter mutt to Merrick Limited Ingredients previously since my vet had recommended my getting away from the grain-free kibble. I saw this on Chewy and purchased it based on the good reviews. I alternate between the Limited Ingredient recipe and the small breed recipe, and it's clear he prefers the small breed recipe much better, eating every little morsel, which I mix in with my handmade turkey meatballs. I will be sticking with this brand and this particular recipe. He loves it a lot!

My senior pug loves this!
By A1Blondie2004 on Aug 1, 2020
My senior pug who is nearly 14 loves this food! It has helped his coat become shiny again. He also enjoys the smaller kibble. It’s pricey, but I will feed him this for whatever time we have left with him - just wish I had tried it a long time ago!

Bella does not like it
By Ashura on Oct 4, 2020
I like the tiny size and it swells ok but my dog Bella gave it a negative vote. She played with it but did not eat it.
