Great dog food
My 2 dogs have really liked this food. I have been gradually moving them over to his slowly but the eat it down quickly and they are actually loosing weight.
one of the best
Switched dog foods again - to Merrick Grain Free. I have 3 dogs, one extremely active, one old and one small 3 yr old. This is best dog food for all three. Great ingredients!
Picky dog loves it.
We have a mix breed dog that is very picky about his food. He needs to lose weight. I’ve tried several brands of light food and he does not like them. Have had to put toppers on them which doesn’t help him drop weight. This is the first food he likes. He prances when I put his bowl down. Merrick produces an excellent dog food product. Have used other dog food from them. Very satisfied with all.
Love this brand
I love this brand. My Alaskan Malamute have a very sensitive stomach as a pup and this brand save me from insanity. I still have to see if this will help me control my dog Weight.
Might be too rich
Was changing dog food for dog health reasons, and based on research this was one of the better ones for my dog's condition. Reviews mentioned some dogs find it too rich. My dog will eat anything so I didn't think twice about it. Well, I was wrong. Dog vomited about 2 hours after eating. I recommend starting with a small bag if you decide to try this food.
Dogs not a big fan
Dogs were not fans of the food. While they ate it, the need for no grains and I am guessing the taste is the basis for us moving on from this particular version. Overall they do seem to like the other Merrick products.
Good & Healthy
This has been the only “diet” food that I’ve found to fill up my pup. I’ve tried many, many foods (prescription & store bought) that leave him begging him for more the minute his bowl is empty. For some reason, he eats this food slower & it keeps him full until the next meal. Time will tell if he loses weight but it’s a winner so far!
Ingredient not listed
Been buying Merrick for years,the Healthy Weight Recipe for the last year,the first ingredient in this food "kibble" is Deboned beef,I assume this means the meat is removed from the bone ,the kibble is full of bones embedded in the kibble,I contacted Merrick,they asked me to send them a sample of the food,a few days later Merrick contacted me and said yes these are bones and it happens from time to time,then why isn't bones listed in the ingredients ?Merrick had me try another Recipe Senior with real chicken,First ingredient Deboned chicken,same thing bones embedded in the kibble,I did not pay for bones,bones is not listed in the ingredients and I believe these bones could be hazardous to my little dogs.NO more Merrick
didn't agree with our dogs digestive system
Unfortunately, this food gave our two dogs diarrhea and it's taken 4 days to clear up the problem. We've use Merrick products before with no ill side effects.

Recommended by a friend. Was not disappointed. Will purchase again.
