Where does Merrick source their chicken from. Not generalities. We want to know is it USA sourced or foreign? If foreign, what country. If China we want to know. Thanks.
Answer by • Oct 15, 2019
We have been informed by Merrick that their Lamb and Venison comes from New Zealand, their Duck and Rabbit is sourced in France, and their Vitamins and Minerals Premix come from Germany and Canada. All of the other ingredients in their recipes are sourced in the USA, and none of their ingredients come from China.
Are the cans bpa-free?

Merrick doesn't use any BPA in their cans. They are tin coated steel (inside and outside) with an organic coating over the tin on the inside of the can.

This is a great product and worth the price! I have fed my dogs the lamb, beef, duck, and chicken and they definitely love the chicken and it is easy on their tummies.

A good choice if dog like it.
The food seem to taste ok to my dogs. But they did not go wild eating it.
So guess I will not purchase it anymore.

Reluctance to food choices
My Shepard is very picky and I'm not having great success with this product . She eats it but tires of it rather quickly. Still prefers fresh roasted chicken with dry food from chewy .

Winner, winner, Chicken Dinner
We had a dog with congestive heart failure and she was an extremely picky eater. I was told that by a friend that if you have a dog that isn't a good eater, this is the food to buy them. Our dog loved Merrick Real Chicken Dinner! Eating that helped her get stronger. Thanks~

Picky eaters
Was pleasantly surprised my senior little doggies seem to like this product and are actually eating it... Finding it difficult with so many products on the market- to know which ones are not only actually healthy, not contaminated and ones you don't have to throw out after spending another healthy amount. Thus far this product is working.. we shall see.

No Peas and No Potatoes
My vet recently told me peas have been associated with heart issues in dogs. I am grateful to have found a dog food my dog will eat that doesn't have peas.

Winner Winner Chicken Dinner
My dog is the pickiest eater on the planet. I've tried at least 20 different brands of food over the years and this is the only one he has gotten excited about. He loves the Merrick Real Chicken Dinner. If he is happy then I am too.
