Excellent food, just wish it was bigger
My 1yr old 75lb puppy loves this food. Since we have switched her to this food she no longer has any skin irritations. The kibble size is tiny about the size of large pea. Definitely smaller than a dime.
Small Size Pieces
Really disappointed at how small the pieces are for this food. I thought this would be a good switch but currently I'm keeping the old food mixed in because our boy is used to larger pieces. He almost chokes eating these tiny pieces. Looking for a better alternative still. Wouldn't recommend this for large breeds
Doggos love it!
I have 2 pups...one is 9 years old. She has gone through gastritis with other brands as she ages. I'm going on 3 years with Merricks and ZERO gastritis! Great thing about choosing Merricks is that you can switch through different types of foods that it provides without upsetting their stomach. Our other pup is about to turn 3 and is in his prime! They love it! We like to add water for the aroma and heat it up in our microwave for 30 seconds. They enjoy the suspense! Lol.
Bad reaction from both of our dogs
We have two dogs, a female pitbull and a male pit/mix (we adopted him and are not sure of the mix) The packaging for Merick dog food is great. The bag is heavy duty and will not easily rip. The food also smells awesome...seriously, I have never smelled dog food that smelled like Merick. Unfortunately, both of our dogs had a bad reaction to Merick dog food. We began mixing the Merick food with their normal brand. Our dogs immediately started having digestion issues and we had the worst messes to date to clean up in our house. Our dogs are very well potty trained and have only had accidents when they're sick. These were pretty horrific messes to wake up to. We thought that maybe the food wasn't the culprit or that they just needed time to adjust so we continued to mix in the Merick. It only got worse. We actually had to replace a section of baseboard and flooring in our kitchen because their bowel movements were completely liquid and they had accidents 4 nights in a row in the same area. Within a day and a half of stopping mixing Merick into their food, they were back to normal. I wanted to love Merick and it was only about a $10 difference in price from their normal brand, but unfortunately it was a bad experience for us.
My dog seem to love it
I received this product for free for testing purposes. Really good ingredients from what I saw on the back also I kind of mixed in with my dogs typical food as I didn’t want to transition him fully until I knew for sure it wouldn’t irradiate his stomach and as for an improvement of coat it’s too soon to say since he hasn’t been on it for that long yet however my dog seemed to really enjoy the taste of it and he would pick it out of all of his other food that we mixed in with it and only eat this stuff he seemed to like it as well as my cats did as well whenever they would sneak some from his bowl however I did notice it didn’t necessarily upset their stomach but it did give them pretty gnarly gas but just something to be aware of also included a photo of the size of the kibble as compared to a lot of the other ones that we’ve tried for large breed dogs it seems to be a little on the smaller side for kibble size
Love this food!
I received this product to try for my honest review. Our pups love this!! We transitioned their food gradually and had no issues at all! Our pups are happy, and certainly healthy! I love knowing that this food has no fillers or by products. I also love that I feel super comfortable and aware of the ingredients I’m feeding them. It’s definitely a win in our house!
Really love!
This was such an exciting gift from a reputable company! My dog (German Shepherd) had no problems transitioning and liked the taste. My only issue is that on Day 1 i mixed her food half and half and our (house trained) pup had an accident. I don’t know if it is related but also know digestive issues can happen when switching brands. No issues since.

I received a complementary sample of this product in exchange for my honest review. My dog has been enjoy this for the past few weeks. I really like that there are no fillers in this product and it’s made in the US following standard manufacturing processes/inspections it gives me peace of mind I’m feeding my dog something I can trust. My dog was really interested in the bag as soon as we brought it home, and loved munching a few as a quick snack. We transitioned the food from her current dog food without issues. The size of the bites themselves is a little smaller than what my dog is used to, but we use a puzzle bowl so it helps pace her anyways but if your dog gobbles just something to be aware of. My dog seems to enjoy the flavor of the food and I’m curious if see if she will benefit from the omegas but that’s likely a longer term use benefit that what we have noticed the past few weeks. It is a little too pricey for me to repurchase but if it was on sale I’d definitely consider it again!

I have fed my dog the same food for years, so she was STOKED to get something different. She gobbled it right up and it didn’t upset her tummy! I like that it’s got all the things I look for in a food - meat first, healthy grains, and no random fillers. I received this product for free but was not paid for this review.
Great dog food
I received a complementary sample of this product in exchange for my honest review. This was a full size bag I received. My dog loved it. Still have a lot to go through since I have a smaller dog but it seems to be great with switching it up for him. Loved the ingredients since my dog is really picky. I definitely recommend this. Wish it was available at more stores since sometimes in the past I have waited to long to get his food and I have to get it at the grocery store.
