This food is specifically formulated for small breed puppies and would be suitable until your puppy reaches adulthood.
Does anyone know how much a cup of this food should weigh Based on the nutrition info since that’s a more accurate measurement then using a scoop

Generally for dog food, 4 cups is about 1 pound. The 4-lb bag has an approximate total of 16 cups and the 12-lb bag has an approximate total of 48 cups. In this case, 1 cup weighs about 1/4 of a pound or 4 ounces. For the largest and oldest dog on the feeding chart, a 12-lb bag would last about 8 days. For the smallest and oldest dog on the feeding chart, a 12-lb bag would last about 96 days.

Most of their ingredients come from the USA, however, in certain circumstances some ingredients may come from another country (like lamb from New Zealand) to ensure the highest quality possible. Vitamin supplements account for less than 1% (~.02%) of the total raw ingredients (by weight) in their recipes [and Vitamin B, specifically, is less than .01%] but ensure that every single serving of our food gives your pet the complete nutrition they need. When do I need to take my puppy a Miniature Schnauzer off of Merrick Dry Puppy Food and start him on Merrick dry adult food? Also, should I have him eating the Lil Plates dry food. I also give him Merrick Wingalings wet food once a day and dry for his other meal. Thank you very much!

Miniature Schnauzers generally reach full size around 12 months of age. That would be the ideal time to start transitioning him from the puppy formula to any adult formula.

Good puppy food

This is my first time trying this brand for my one year old mini schnauzer. These kibbles are smaller in size compared to others I've tried so they would be easier on digestion. The main ingredients are chicken and sweet potato. I like that they also include omega 3-6, glucosamine, and chondroitin which would be good for joints, skin, and coat. My puppy enjoy this and hasn't had any stomach issues.

Puppy Approved

My Puppy Hazel loved this dog food. She was extremely excited when she smelled the bag open. We let her taste one pebble before giving her a full serving and she went crazy looking for more. I feel that this is perfect for a puppy and I don’t think there needs to be any improvements. The packaging is great and the small pebbles make it easy for my pup to nibble her food without having to break it down into smaller pieces like she does with the other brand we have purchased. I recommend this to any puppy owner!

Puppy Love

My puppy loved this! We mixed it with her food we have already been giving her, and she dug in and tried to eat around it to get to this one! We'll definitely be purchasing this in the future! I received this product for free in exchange for my honest opinion.

Great for puppers

My puppy did so well transitioning to this kibble. The size and flavor of the kibble seemed perfect for her. She kept a healthy coat and skin. It’s a product I’d recommend to others and I’m happy I was able to try it free for my opinion. It’s something I’ll continue to use. I love that it’s a grain free product.

Archie Approved

As soon as I received this puppy food, I mixed it into Archie’s current food to transition slowly. He smelled it as soon as i cut it open and was jumping with anticipation. Once i served it to him, he was picking it out from his old food. Safe to say he loves the taste! I did not observe any stomach issues with including the new food. We will continue to incorporate it into his diet!

Not for Us

My cocker spaniel pup was not a huge fan. It took a little getting used to, and definitely will not become a staple for us. I personally prefer better priced dog food also. She may be small but she’s an eater. Seems like a good brand and didn’t seem to cause any digestions issues for my fur baby, but she was not a fan.

Great pup food!

My puppy devoured this dog food! Unlike other dog food brands we’ve used this one has great ingredients such as real chicken, sweet potatoes, salmon meal, and dried egg as well as being grain free! My pups coat looks shiny, she’s acting more energetic! I like that this supports joint health, and digestion as well. Overall, great puppy food for my growing girl!

Happy puppy

My puppy loves this food. He's a larger breed but got the small breed by mistake (free) but figured since it's such a small bag, it'll be fine. But everything seems to be working out fine & he absolutely loves it. The color is darker than my current food, which shows more rich with flavor and vitamins. Happy puppy, happy owner.

Good dog food

My 3 year old boy bichon frise n my 8 month old soft coated wheaten terrier girl. Love the chicken n sweet potato dry food. This brand is really good n definitely seems super nutritional for all dogs. I definitely recommend this brand for dogs small n medium n large size.
