My senior cat is picky

My cat is 19 years old. His primary nutrition is from Wellness wet food, but he loves crunchy treats like Greenies, and wants to eat a lot more of them than the recommended amount, so I wanted to get him dry food as "treats", so that he could get more nutritional value out of it. He has no interest in this, unfortunately. Going to donate the bag to a local shelter.

Picky Cats Won't Touch It

3 Stars because I believe the quality is good, but none of my 6 picky cats would eat it. None of them would even try one morsel. For reference, all 6 like American Journey and Fussie Cat brands of dry food. I bought this because it was on sale and I like to rotate good quality foods to ensure the cats are receiving good nutrition.

No more bloody stools

My senior boy is 14+ And he’s always had trouble with bloody slime here and there. He’s also had vomiting issues galore. After numerous vets chocking it up to colitis or IBS we’ve finally found an answer! This food has been a life saver. His vomiting has drastically reduced to only once in awhile and he doesn’t have bloody stools anymore. In fact he now has a ton more energy. Love seeing my old man living his best life.

Stopped eating after a week

At first my 8 year old cat loved the food as I tried to switch her over...but after a week she picked around it. Not sure if the pieces were to small or why she stopped but I have a full bag to donate because she won’t touch it.

Our now older outdoor only barn cat lost a lot of weight in this hot summer. he just didn't feel like eating, and up to until now I was always struggling to keep him from not being fat! He was on the Merrick healthy weight for a couple of years and he loved it and it managed his little "meatball" body very well. Decided with his substantial weight loss and his age to switch to the senior blend. Even though he lives outdoors, he loves this food and has already filled in some of the bony areas along his spine. Will definitely stick with this for the foreseeable future.

I mix this with the Purina Beyond Simply White Meat Chicken & Whole Oat Meal Recipe for my senior cat. I don't like her to be on an all grain-free diet as a little bit of the right grains has proven to work well for her. I wouldn't rely on this as her only food as she'd get quite fat but definitely a good product!
