    Beef Wellington is a hit

    By Kate637 on Mar 1, 2019

All 3 of my cats love this product. They like all Merrick varieties but the Beef Wellington seems to be a special favorite. I worried about a case of the same thing but so far they are not tired of it. It would be great if Chewy offered a variety pack!

Beware - under-weight cans happen too often

By NoLongerMerrickFan on Jun 23, 2020

Last several months the number of under-weight 5.5 oz cans has increased. Last case of 24 cans had 21 underweight cans. Overall, the case was 7.125 oz underweight across 24 cans .... more than a full can. This should be an easy-to-detect manufacturing problem (just weigh the cans and/or case), but Last several months the number of under-weight 5.5 oz cans has increased. This should be an easy-to-detect manufacturing problem (just weigh the cans and/or case), but Merrick quality control does not catch these issues. This is a fairly expensive flavor, and Merrick is under-filling the cans by 5.4% on average. Other vendors do better. I'll be switching brands … more

    What Happened?

    By on

This used to be one of our favorites....this last case was not good, no gravy, just a thick white congealed gloop on the meat, both of my cats will not eat it! Complete waste of money!

merrick not as great as it once was

    By on Top 250 Contributor

My cats always went crazy for cowboy cookout . I like to give them a lot of variety so I decided to give this a try as I was told it was very similar to cowboy cookout . The first day they ate very little of it and will not touch it since. Merrick changed years back when they re packaged and came out with all these new flavors they quality just is not the same and cats just don't like it when it used to be a sure success, sad.

My cats will not eat it

    By on

it looked like a great product, grain free, healthy, but none of my cats would eat it. Not even the stray I feed outside! Strange! Normally the products I get from Chewy are great and I am very happy with Chewy. It is just this one item. I bought a box of 24 and will give them to a shelter.

    One Star for Gravy

I'd like to start this review with something positive. Chewy.com is an excellent source of pet products. I have made great purchases for my kitties from Chewy.com without ever leaving my home. I have usually received my orders within 48 hours of submission. As for the Merrick food product, my finicky cat loves only the gravy. He loves wet food, primarily red meat, but he just licks the thick moisture off the morsels without actually eating it. The ingredients on the label look wholesome. The description on the website reads like you are getting a superior, grain-free, natural cat food that your pet can't resist. It does contain chicken livers for the third listed ingredient, followed I'd like to start this review with something positive. Chewy.com is an excellent source of pet products. It does contain chicken livers for the third listed ingredient, followed by deboned chicken, peas, and dried egg product. Doesn't look like a whole lot of beef. For a former feral cat, my feline will lick off only the gravy from the morsels, serving after serving. After three cans, I can honestly say I ended up pouring all the uneaten dried-up leftovers of Merrick food down the garbage disposal . Now I feed him one teaspoonful at a feeding, and he reluctantly consumes the morsels AFTER he's licked off the gravy. That's all he can tolerate. Then, when I'm out of the kitchen, he sneaks off to get a few bites from his sister's bowl of Blue Buffalo dry food to keep from starving. But he spits out all the life source bits. I have a very finicky cat. … more
