very inconsistent

Sometimes my cats love this and sometimes they don’t want to touch it. It can be very oily and watery or just like a regular pate. Honestly it’s too expensive to keep taking a chance.

They like it!

This is the first time my cats are trying this brand, and so far they like the rabbit. It's an affordable food, I will probably keep it in rotation

good food gone bad

I have been feeding my cat Merick rabbit pate for years. My last batch was full of bone fragments. I had to spend a half hour picking them out so my cat could eat the food This is the FIRST time this has happened. Merrick is made in the USA. What has happened to their Quality

Changed the rabbit recipe

My cats loved the rabbit. It was strange they would not eat the large cans, I noticed it was watery. The texture was different than the smaller cans. The last order of the 3oz cans are watery also. They won’t touch it. I am out $60 or more. nothing Merrick ever again.

Cats approve

Our cats are always happy for some Purrfect Bistro (Turkey, chicken, rabbit, or duck) thrown in the rotation. Ingredients could certainly be better, especially given the price. We usually only buy if on sale.

Picky cats love it, but . . . !

My extremely picky cats love this food and most Merrick flavors, however I wish Merrick would remove the phosphates. That's why I gave only 3 stars. Otherwise it's a 5 star for taste.

One of the few foods my cat will eat

My rescue cat has some food allergies (fish and Brewer's yeast) that really limit the foods he can eat without vomiting. Luckily he's not allergic to chicken or rabbit and he loves, loves, loves this brand. It seems as though the formula has changed with more liver, and the color is less red, but he's still eating it with no issues, so I'm not complaining! Just hope they keep making this food, it's all I've got!

Cats like it

I figured it was more natural for cats to eat rabbits than cows or chickens. Poor rabbits. Poor cows and chickens and fish too.

Not Great for CKD Kitties or IBD Kitties

I purchased this food because my cat had a possible IBD diagnosis we were watching since she was having a pancreatitis bought. Her pancreatitis was clearing up and she was loving the Rabbit Recipe and it didn't bother her bowels but I started to notice that her kidney values were going up every 2 weeks when she was having bloodwork done for the past 3 months as well as her intestines were now showing inflammation that wasn't present for the pancreatitis. My cat loves this flavor so much but I can't continue feeding it to her and am searching for a much healthier alternative. It has HUGE pieces of sharp bone shards in it. I spend over 5 mins smoothing it out trying to find as many bones as I can before feeding it to her until I can completely switch her from this food. The Phosphorus levels in a dry matter basis are also one of the highest out there which isn't great for her kidney's. We're trying Nature's Logic Rabbit now and hoping she loves it enough to not want Merrick's Rabbit Pate anymore because I don't think it's great for cats. They need to work on their recipe and improve it to make it healthier.
