She loves them!
My dog loves the Merrick BBQ Treats - Glazed Beef Jerky Strips. We have been using them while working on training and her agility course. I like that they’re soft enough to tear apart and make into smaller treats. She’s always so willing to pay attention in order to get another Glazed Beef Jerky Strip which is fine by me! Sometimes it’s hard to find that perfect treat to use while training. I am happy with the Merrick brand and will continue to purchase in the future. Great treats!
My dog is very picky and refuses most treats but he really likes these! They are excellent treats - made with good ingredients from a reputable company which is a must for my babies. I was pleasantly surprised that they don’t smell bad - they kind of have a pleasant bbq scent that is strong enough to entice my dog but not offensive to me. Also they don’t leave any residue or smell on your hands after you handle them. They are a nice size and they break cleanly along the score lines - you can easily break them into tiny training size bits without having a handful of crumbs. They are a nice soft texture but they keep together very well- I kept a few in my pocket walking on a hot day while breaking off bits to give my dog and my pocket was not disgusting at the end so that was a very nice surprise! I got these treats as a free sample but I fully intend to continue buying them. They are honestly perfect and my dog loves them!

I was very grateful to be gifted these Merrick BBQ Glazed Jerky Strip Treats in exchange for my honest review. I would like to start by mentioning that my husband truly thought I had brought these jerky strips home for him. I think the ingredients fooled him since they're all natural. I made sure our pup Sam received these and not the hubby. Our dog Sam is half beagle half lab and he is a BIG dog. He was so excited to try these treats that he devoured them! With real beef and all natural ingredients I can honestly see why. The looked good enough for a human to eat! I would highly recommend these as a way to show a little love to your furry friend. The only gripe I have is regarding the packaging. I think DOG TREATS should be labeled a bit larger or bolder for humans such as my husband. It's not really a complaint because in reality, if you can fool a human into eating a dog treat, you're doing something right. 10 out of 10 - recommend.

I am a lover of treats that is no surprise, so when asked if I could try out some BBQ treats from Merrick. I said yes please. I am a KC gal, so BBQ is serious business in my town. We are pretty picky and you have to bring your A game when you try BBQ that is not KC. Mom chose the Slow Cooked BBQ Treats Texas Style Glazed Jerky Strips Beef Recipe. I thought they were very tasty. A nice smokey smell to the treats. Mom likes the limited ingredients and that beef and chicken are the first ingredients. They are 36kcal per treat, so if you have to watch the calories like me, you might need to break the treat in half. I come running when she grabs the bag, so you know it is a winner in my book. Coming from a KC gal, that is a big endorsement. I do hope they create a KC version in the future. But for now, I am giving the Texas ones four paws up! I was given the bag of treats for free in exchange for an honest review.

These Merrick Slow Cooked BBQ Beef Texas Style Glazed Jerky Strips Dog Treats are great! All my dogs including my puppy enjoy these treats very much. A little shake of the bag and they all come running. They have also made great training treats for the puppy, I just break a full strip into 3-4 individual treats. I have also used these treats by crumbling a half strip over the puppies food on days that are difficult to feed. I highly recommend these treats to anyone with dogs. High-Quality Jerky but Beware of Chicken
I like how this jerky is not super tough, unlike most other doggie jerkies. These treats smell super yummy as well. My biggest grievance would be the ingredient list. Though the front label claims "made with real beef" there is also chicken in here. One of my dogs is sensitive to chicken, so I did not feed him this product. It seems chicken allergies are becoming more common these days, so it can be hard to find high-quality treats with no chicken! Besides the chicken issue, the ingredient list for these treats is great compared to other brands of jerky. I love the Merrick brand in general, I use the Merrick dry food for my lab/mountian curr mix now. The Texas Style Glazed Jerkey Strips are easy for my dog to eat and they do not crumble or make a mess while he is eating them. I love the natural ingredients and being made with real beef. I know I am giving my dog a treat that he can truly enjoy while being healthy for his body. Bandit is a picky, well spoiled dog, he is peticular about the texture of treats and does not like hard treats. He loved these treats and got really excited, wanting more, the first time. A huge hit with my pups.
My pups love their treats so I am always looking for new ones for them to try. As soon as I opened these I knew they would be a hit. They honestly smelled good enough for me to eat. They are nice and big treats that are nice and meaty. My dogs devoured these. They smell really good, you can actually smell the Barbeque flavor. I love that they are made with real deboned beef and are made in the USA. If my boy had his way, he would devour the entire bag all at once. This is definitely a treat that I feel good about giving my boy. Will be a regular purchase for me in the future!
