Bought this to crate my doggo under my desk while at work and it's perfect. The 36" is plenty of room for my 50 lb pit - tall enough for her to stand and lay down stretched out. Folds up easily when not in use. Pretty durable fabric and zippers, but If she really wanted to she could chew her way out. I'm not worried because she likes being in it and I only use it with supervision, but I wouldn't leave a chewer alone in it for too long. This is lighter weight than a standard collapsable metal crate. However, if you're concerned about your dog chewing, just go with a metal crate and get a cover. Also, it's slightly taller than my metal crate which made it about a 1/2" shy of fitting into the back of my compact SUV (Hyundai Kona Electric). Measure carefully if you're planning to use it for transportation.
I am very happy with the crate. Light, nice looking, and about as sturdy as can be exspected for the weight. My dog is medium size and gentle, so no issues.
To be honest, I've never used a crate for any dog I've ever had including this one. However, when we travel Tucker is a nervous wreck and he's not super comfortable when staying with our daughters when we visit. One of our daughters has this same crate for one of her dogs and when we visited a couple weeks ago Tucker absolutely loved the crate and slept in there every day and night so we ordered one for him. As always, Chewy got the crate to us very quickly and we were so excited. I set the crate up immediately and Tucker would have nothing to do with it but went back to get in his cousin's bed. All was well in another day as he did end up going in his new crate and he loved it, he also loved riding in the car in it. Of course, now that we're home he won't have anything to do with it but at least we know that when we travel he will be much more comfortable. The quality of this soft crate is superb! We do not zip the door mostly because we're not trying to keep him in there we were just looking for something to reduce his travel anxiety. Absolutely fantastic product, highly recommend!
Perfect for our motorhome while on the road. It fits perfectly in the hallway area between living and private areas, and still allowing access to the bathroom. It has significantly reduced the travel anxiety for all of us!
Not a TSA carrier. This is a travel crate for road trips and the like. Strong, heavy gauge folding wire frame. Mattress is thin for collapsing crate, suggest you bring a favorite doggie blanket to add more comfort. Acclimate your dog with this new crate so less challenge when putting to bed in less familiar surroundings.
Loved the ease and portability of the crate, but unfortunately my puppy was able to break the zipper on his 8th time in the crate. Don’t recommend purchasing if your dog is still working on separation anxiety as he learned how to open the zipper day one and broke it after I secured the zippers with the leash. He popped the zipper pull right off the track with ease.
My 3.5lb Maltipoo literally tore this thing to shreds. She ate threw the zipper and escaped. The kennel is useless now.
Our dog Ruckus LOVES this new cave. He prefers to sleep and observe from his new found quarters. It was a quick and easy set up.
I love the Canine Camper. It has yet to be used as our new puppy, Harper Wren, won’t be here for another week. However, it was easy to assemble. Lift up and push out the sides. Done. It folds beautifully and it is light and easy to carry. I’m only 5’ & 100# and struggle with the cumbersome dog crates that I have used in the past. It also doesn’t scratch or damage walls when bump them. My son and husband love camping and can use it with our grand dog, Molly.
It's a well made soft crate. My only issue is the zipper is hard to open and close. It's hard to round the corners with the zipper. I did add a thicker pillow for my dog and she is super comfortable.
