The listed dimensions can’t be right? 48 inches?

The Small carrier measures 16.3 x 10.1 x 9.3 inches, the Medium carrier measures 18.3 x 11.3 x 11.1 inches, and the Large carrier measures 19.3 x 12.2 x 12.2 inches. The measurements are read as length x width x height.
Does this have a tether and clip inside to attach to a dog's harness?

This crate includes a carrying strap and an interior leash for ease and safety.
Is the bottom of the carrier stiff/sturdy? Even without the insert? Looking for a hard bottom that won't collapse.

Does this carrier hold its shape when opened, or does it collapse on the side that is unzipped?

Perfect for our 9.5 pound kitty!

Needed something a little more spacious for our kitty. I liked that this carrier has lots of different ways to access the inside and also has the extra fold-out space for longer stints in the carrier like a car trip. She immediately took to it and it is now one of her favorite napping spots so I would call it a win!

Broke first use

I had really high hopes for this carrier, and bought it for my cat for a plane ride. It broke our first time using it, right before take-off as we were putting my cat under the seat. The zipper ripped off one of the flaps, and my cat almost escaped into the plane. Me (and my cat) really loved it, up until it failed. We weren't able to fix the zipper, so it is trash now, unfortunately.

Best ever cat carrier

I wanted a carrier that you could open from the top instead of having to try and pull my cat out from the front. This carrier is so well made and I love all the openings you can choose from. It also expands from the side for extra room. It has nice short carrying straps and also has the long shoulder straps. It has a nice removable cushion. Pretty blue color. I would highly recommend this carrier.

Not ideal for long trips

This is a decent quality carrier and the pop out tent would give my cat lots of space to fully stretch out. I returned it because it's not ideal for long trips for two reasons. 1) It is always possible that my cat might soil the carrier and I need to be able to clean it and replace the bottom pad in an airplane bathroom. This carrier has a nice soft pad, but it would be hard to clean while traveling because the soft part is attached to the hard piece that provides the bottom structure. 2) When travel gets messed up and it is necessary to stay in a hotel unexpectedly, it's best if the cat carrier doesn't look like a cat carrier when trying to sneak the cat into a hotel. I couldn't tell from the photos whether or not the carrier could be completely closed (100% dark inside). It turns out that this carrier has net only on the top door, one end, and the top half of the other end. That's great to see your cat, for your cat to see out, and to let others admire him, but not great for sneaking around.

the best carrier...EVER!

My 16 # kitty goes right into this carrier and loves it in there. I have the large top opening as a second option but so far for the vet's appointment, I put a treat in the carrier, he walks in and I zip the side door. He lays down and is quiet until time to leave. Sammie has never been this easy to get to the vet!

looks well made & delivered promptly

We bought this as emergency "evacuation" prep since this can rest on our laps or under seat. Handle straps plus a shoulder strap will allow us to deal with other luggage or gear. Since our cat can run so very fast, we like the inside tether for security. We hope we never have to use it but having it on hand means our little girl doesn't get left behind. If this ever gets a redesign, we recommend adding a red or white stripe woven into the tether for visibility inside. Dark in there! We also recommend adding a way to secure the zipper pull tabs, either by loops to slip a TSA lock through them or clips to the sides of the carrier.

Midwest Duffy cat carrier

Purchased this carrier and it is horrible. Difficult to get to stand up as sides collapse in on itself. Very unsatisfied!

Very well made

I really like this carrier; it is very well made, so much better than others. Sadly, however, it isn't going to work out as a carrier to take my cat to the vet because she has no room in it to turn around. I think that is important. I wish it could be a little taller and a little wider. But she does like it as a place to just lay down when the side is expanded.
