Amazing design, easy set up, easy cleanup. I originally bought the Full Cheeks Fully Customizable Cage, and it was so horribly designed, took me a few hours to set up, and was so difficult to clean. My 8 year old daughter also finds the MidWest much easier to clean and maintain since the height is perfect and we don't need to break our backs to reach inside the cage. I love it and would definitely be looking into more of their products!
I purchased two of these cages and the Guinea pigs are happy in their new home. I haven’t had any problems with chewing. It could be that the rabbit and Guinea pig do t have enough chewing products. My only issue having to undo the Velcro to remove bottom to clean. That is a pain. Otherwise great cages.
I ordered a second Midwest cage to attract to my first one. It was so easy to do. I just took off the end panels and connected the 2 cages horizontally. I'm happy with the size. 94"x24" for my 2 girls. I used the divider to section off a small portion to place their litter tray full of hay and this area is also where they go to potty. With all this extra space they are very happy piggies. I love these cages, because they are SO easy to customize. If you are considering attaching two of these cages the panels are very easy to detach and connect any way you want.
I love this purchase! Perfect for two guinea pigs - enough room for them to move around and be active. Easy to assemble and to clean. I highly recommend this purchase!
Not happy at all. I was going out of town and needed a house for my Guinea pig. It came with NO top and my sister has a cat. Will be returning. Could not use it.
We've had it for 6 months and have no issues. I can't see how their Guinea Pigs chewed through the bottom. The Velcro goes on the outside of the cage so they don't have a way to chew it. Our two "girls" love it and have plenty of room to play and eat and live in it. We have two houses, an exercise toy (size of another house) a hide away tunnel and food/water container with plenty of room. We do use the top cover so that we can put a blanket on a portion of the top. The girls seem calmer and more active with the blanket on top. This may be part of them that feels they must hide from predators.
Bought this for my guinea pig and rabbit. Did not read the description of this being a cloth bottom, did not last long as they chewed the velcro and cloth. Not sturdy. Would not recommend.
I bought 2 of these habitats for my guinea pigs. One for the girls and one for the boys. They chewed off all the velco and also chewed a hole in the corners. I had to invest in plastic cages.
My girls love this cage. I rescued 2 small guinea pigs and I bought this cage for room and they popcorn everyday. It has plenty of room for 2 houses and a large tunnel and I like the divider to keep their food/water/hay seperate from play area. East to clean.
My son's guinea pigs already had one of these pens and we waited for a sale to get a second one to attach them together and make a larger "L" shaped enclosure in a corner. It took them a little bit to get used to the extra space but now they love it and I think they like to take time away from each other too. Make sure to put food and water in each if you do this though, because with only a small entrance to go back and forth, we found that the smarter pig was guarding the pen where the food and water were located and the other pig was hungry. Now everyone is happy. We have had the first pen for nearly a year now and it has held up well.
