Are you able to cover the litter ? Does it come with a lid or cover for the litter space inside?

The interior litter box can be covered when not in use. A cover is included for both bottom compartments.

Do NOT buy. Poor quality materials.

I love the clever concept and brilliant design of this pet carrier, which is made in Italy. It's ideal for my cat, who has had multiple messy accidents on long car trips when we commute between homes. Unfortunately, the quality of the materials used to construct it is substandard and does not meet expectations. I received a damaged carrier that had multiple cracks on the hood, as well as a long crack at the bottom. The plastic material isn't strong enough; it"s highly susceptible to cracking and breaking. It definitely won't last for heavier pets weighing over 7 lbs, plus cat litter. I really wanted to leave a positively glowing review for this carrier. As for the price, I'm sorry to say it -- but I find other more economical carriers made in China to be sturdier and of better quality in comparison. If I purchase another plastic pet carrier, I'm sticking to Frisco.

Carrier w/ litter box

The concept of this carrier is good but not practical unless all you have are kittens or adults under 5 lbs. The litter box is to small for a large cat & all of my cats are 10+ lbs.

Perfect carrier for cats on short trips

The assembly directions were good although two items were not explained and you had to follow the picture. Strong construction The one I bought has a litter container for longer trips
