Revamp your Life Stages Dog Crate with the Midwest Life Stages Dog Crate Replacement Pan!
I ordered 2 XXL life stages dog crates 1 came with these red slip on covers for the latches on the door and the other one did not. I reached out to Midwest and they gave me a run a round and would not send replacement. Tried to brush it off as a mistake that the latch covers was not supposed to have come with the crates These cages were expensive and to not send the latch covers for the other crate is a cheap shot at the customer Makes me think they would not replace the crates had they come damaged Poor customer service Do not recommend this brand
I bought the Frisco 30 inch crate and it’s a really beautiful crate but I kind a like the bigger crates so my dogs would jump and they hit their head on it so I upsized to this Midwest lifestyles 36 inch and it’s really nice it’s a similar quality to the Frisco and It’s a little bit bigger (6”) I bought a nice soft 3 inch memory foam bed for it and the Midwest water bowl that attaches to the side, it’s a really nice set up. It arrived three days after I ordered it on a Saturday so that’s really cool it arrived in perfect condition. One of the little wire hooks was a little bit off, so I just put a screw driver in there and opened it up a little bit. No big deal I didn’t notice any sharp edges when I put it together. It’s heavy, but if I had a really strong dog I would go for the heaviest duty crate that they sell but I didn’t want to spend all that extra money for my little min pins. Yes, I have a 15 inch dog and a 36 inch crate but sometimes they sleep together. And I like to have the extra room so that there’s room for the water bowl and the blankets don’t go in it. It’s nice and sturdy. It’s heavy and well constructed the paint is high quality and the doors work great. I’m really happy with it and I recommend it. For a pitbull I go ahead and get the ultra or the extra heavy duty Frisco crate so you have thicker wire. Highly recommended. Also highly recommend buying from Chewy. Chewy has exceptional customer service. They’re the best store to buy pet supplies from. I can walk to a mainstream pet store but Chewy has lower prices and better selection. Plus the people that answer the phone are super nice.
I actually purchased this crate because I foster for my local Humane Society. I have always been satisfied with Midwest crate and I like 2 doors because it gives me more placement options. I also like the life stage so if I foster a puppy...I can adjust the space. I eventually want to get a larger one so I can also foster larger dogs.
The Chewy website had this listed as 36" L x 123" W x 25" H. It's 3/4" smaller in all measurements. Other than that, it seems like a fine crate.
Great wire crate. Nice to have tray included. Two doors makes life easier. Easy enough to assemble and flatten for transport. Divider is great, as puppy is small now. Just be sure that your dog can use a 30 inch crate. Medium crates used to be 36 inches, and I see that many manufacturers have gone to a 30 inch crate.
We bought this crate out of necessity for our 110 lb Chocolate Lab for post-TPLO surgery recovery. Initial set-up was a little difficult and we didn’t figure out where to put the carrying handles, but they don’t seem necessary and now that it’s been assembled it seems like it will be easy to relocate. It is much less of an eyesore than our previously used kennel-crate. Our dog has enough room to enter and turn around, even with the giant satellite-dish of a cone on his head, and he is able to switch sides he is laying on fairly easily. Overall pretty pleased!
Just bought this for my eleven week old Golden retriever, as he has already grown out of a small one. Perfect size for him to grow into and no concerns about too much space with the divider. Very good quality, highly recommend!!
I liked the flexibility of the 2 doors, the sturdiness, and the latch feature so dogs can't paw it open if they're the type to to try. Very glad I selected this one.
This crate is really big, but it's a great value and the foster pup we have right now loves it although she's not a very big dog.
I purchased the 36 inch a year ago. The latch took a little getting use to as I'm use to the straight bar but I've learned to like it. Bought another one this year. The quality has definitely gone down. The coating is thin and I found many sharp parts that need to be sanded and painted. The second worst part is the door does not swing open/closed freely and takes more force then it should. I will not be buying this crate again.
