They are soft, and the hideaway is perfect for my ratties. They will eventually chew them to shreds, but a good bed never goes to waste here!

Our ferret Booth lives this. He climbs right in and falls asleep swinging. His other one was thinner and he was able to chew right through it. This one is so much better....
