VERY good product
I was able to put it on very easily with no problem it has more of a polyester material so it’s pretty easy to clean looks nice love the color and design my ferret Gizmo approves he seems to like the feeling of it!
Option 1, Two Shelf Covers, One Hammock, Bad Material, Over Expensive
I bought these because I was interested in trying out the shelf covers directly from the MidWest manufacturer for my Critter Nation Cages. I bought them a little over two weeks ago and, unfortunately, my rats have already chewed up most of the corners; but that isn't the fault of the manufacturer. However, for the cost they ask for for only two shelf covers and a hammock, I could buy several yards of fabric to create several shelf covers of my own or purchase them from other creators that will sew them similarly to the manufacturer. Having more than one cover that can be changed out regularly to be washed helps reduce the amount of destruction that occurs with these types of covers. Rats typically gnaw on fabric because it is dirty or they want to burrow underneath. I actually think it would be a pretty smart design to make them similar to a hammock so that the rats have a place they can get inside of the fabric and practice their typical burrowing behavior! That would improve this product a lot, actually! Now, when it comes to the type of fabric - I'm not really a fan. It comes to you rather hard and itchy; and washing them in the washer with animal friendly (odorless, sensitive) detergent didn't seem to help. I also find that the fabric isn't very good for absorbing urine since it is polyester - which is the entire point of having a shelf cover in the first place. I would honestly appreciate if they used fleece on the top of the polyester. So, why did I give this three stars? Positively speaking, I do like the design of the shelf covers. The manufacturer specifically makes them to fit tightly onto the shelves and they are really easy to install with the strong velcro. I also really like the hammock! The polyester on the bottom helps keep it cleaner and it has a softer wool material at the top that the rats like to snuggle in and keep warm. Not having an absorbent material on the bottom of a HAMMOCK makes sense because you DON'T want it holding onto urine so that it is easier to clean; it just doesn't make sense for the SHELF COVERS! I also really appreciated the plastic clips that the hammock comes with so that it is easier to install than the metal clips that other hammocks usually come with! Because the hammocks come with a thicker strap that is shorter than most hammocks, it reduces the chance of your rats chewing them off! I wish I could order them separately in different designs!

These are nice, but rats have chewed throw all of them... for $70, I can buy yet another set. Two is the limit. Now I use towels.
Easy to clean
It’s looks nice, good quality and easy to clean and pick up messes ... was a little difficult to put on the half shelving covers.
