Super comfy crate mat
My puppy absolutely loves this mat! The bolsters on the side are low enough that he can comfortably use them as a pillow but high enough to prevent him from bumping into his wire crate at night. He seems to be sleeping a lot better now and happily runs to his kennel for bedtime. Be warned that the mat does shed, so you'll be getting little tufts of the mat "hair" around. Considering how much I already have to vacuum with my dog's shedding, it's not a big deal for us but could be annoying to some people. Overall wonderful mat though and a very good price.
Fair for the price
I have bought this crate mat before for my dog crate. It is a bit smaller than the crate tray, however, acceptable. It could also be a bit thicker, but considering the price i paid, it's fair. I measured it and it's barely 20". That's loosely measured because I didn't have anyone to hold the measuring tape while I took the picture. Just a little fyi in case you're expecting an actual 22" crate mat.
Really happy
I really like this bed. I seen reviews saying it doesnt keep its original shape. It is a crate bed. It is not a dog bed you can keep out of the crate. It does a perfect job and our dog loves it. I am happy to say, she doesnt mind being in her crate. This bed is comfortable for her and I would definitely buy it again.
Soft, perfect size, easy to clean
This bed is so perfect for our lab! Its soft, not too thick with stuffing (that if he got bored could try to rip apart). He never slept on his other one because it was so big/fluffy that he would overheat. We got it just in time for when he got neutered. All he did was lay in it. He did have an accident in it but it was so easy to clean it up and sanitize the bed. I will say, the bed does "shed" a little but it's not bad compared to my pup shedding lol
Sheds more than my dogs
The rating is due to the fact that all the fuzz and fluff constantly sheds. I got two of these in Dec 2022 and they have not stopped shedding, even after washing a few times. Some spots are beginning to look threadbare. My carpet is constantly a mess from the fuzz. The dimensions and thickness are great, but the shedding is so awful!
good for the price and purpose
I ordered two of these for our dogs primarily for long road-trips so we’re not hauling their big beds all the time. They are lightweight and can be folded up if needed which is good on space. I put a small blanket on top for extra cushion and they seem to love it. We keep them as extra “place” beds in the house. The shedding isn’t as noticeable for me because it stays in one spot (unless we’re traveling) and my dogs haven’t shown interest in chewing it.
Very Disappointed
Very disappointed in the quality of this mat. Fuzzies all over the place, which is not something I want my puppy eating. Puppy did not chew the mat, the mat sheds terribly creating multiple fuzzies. Plus the material is cheap. I ended up buying a Tall Tails mat from somewhere else. If I could return it I would.
my dog is IN LOVE
This bed fits perfectly in our dog’s crate and is great for what it is - a crate mat. The fleece goes EVERYWHERE even after you wash it so not my favorite. What I will say is that I have bought this bed three times (my dog chews on it and pulls the fluff out of the rounded edges) now because my dog is obsessed with this bed. Literally cannot go to sleep without it. So I will continually purchase this bed for my puppy that is emotionally attached to this bed lol
Fleece Dog Crate Mat
I would cheerfully have given this mat a 5 star review, except for one thing. The fleece is coming off and is every where!!! I've picked it and run the vacuum over it. It looks perfect then it starts to shed all over again. I've had this product for a little while, yet it still continues to shed all over the house! I even found a piece of it stuck in my kitchen door hinge!! It's driving me nuts. All that being said, i do love the firmness/cushioniness and so do my dogs.
Please don't purchase
This bed fleece sheds creating a choking hazard for the dog. I put my puppy down to see her new bed and she tried to rough up the surface by digging and I have fleece everywhere (she is all of 7lbs)! In addition, she, being a puppy put it in her mouth. Thankfully I was watching her, immediately picked up the fleece and the bed but I am still finding some fleece. I did wash it and dry following the manufacturer's recommendation prior to introducing it to her. Chewy was amazing refunding my money and the bed has been destroyed and thrown out. Please don't buy-keep your baby safe!
