  • very sturdy crate

    By on

My dog was already crate trained when I adopted him. However there are times when he is not in the mood for the crate and he lets me know this is by throwing his 40 pound self against it or vigorously pawing. Despite his best efforts, the crate has survived with no damage. I especially like the door fasteners. The are easy on my arthritic hands but keep the dog safely inside. He also came with excellent counter surfing skills. I usually only crate him when we are preparing meals and eating.

  • Great quality and value

This crate is FABULOUS! It is sturdy and secure. I knew what I wanted because I have the larger version at home already. I really appreciate the 2 doors and the stronger gauge. I purchased another one because our puppy who needed a crate at the "puppy sitter's " place for Spring Break 2018. I shopped around and found Chewy's to have the best price. I also needed it FAST. Chewy delivered!

  • Solid and Strong

    By on

We were replacing a 'home' that required totally taking apart to transport. This piece folds neatly and easily, and even has two handles for carrying. It was set up and ready within 2 minutes of arrival. The wire is heavy gauge, the two doors are secure, and the finish is flawless. We highly recommend it for 20 to 25 pound dogs.

  • Can't Beat The Height

    By on

Chose this kennel specifically because it's a few inches taller then the rest of the 48" kennels. My catahoula isn't huge but he is very leggy and sits at about 32". This kennel is more expensive but it was worth it for the extra height alone. It was easy to put together, seems very sturdy. Very happy with the purchase!

  • Awesome Crate for Unruly Standard Poodle

    By on

This crate is awesome. I've had it 6 months and it's held up very well to an extremely rambunctious and sometimes ornery smaller standard poodle. The double locks on the doors are a must when she's trying to bang down the door. The latches do not have bent ends to really snap into place, but she never figured out to slide them open, plus they are just a bit stiff. The paint has been chipped off along the sliding latches but you can't see it from the front. My only complaint to crates in general is the constant sound of the plastic tray moving every time the dog shifts her weight. This height is perfect for her; she's about 40 pounds and standard poodles are tall. She could have grown a bit more This crate is awesome. She's very content with the overall size, but it does seem very big in the room. It's great for smaller pups too, if you need to put a potty pad in the back half and leave for a few hours. … more

  • Finally a crate that Brady can't chew through!

    By on

Finally a crate that Brady can't chew through! I've been through about 3 crates already with my dog, Brady, who is part pitbull-american bull dog-boxer. He's chewed through metal multiple times, but this one has held up! I've had it for 9 months now! Definitely recommend this crate to anyone with the same problem I had. My dog has severe separation anxiety and he's even gotten his head stuck in between the top corner of some of our old crate doors, which was incredibly frightening to come home to!! We've been through zip ties and carabeaners, even locks in some old crates. So glad I spent the extra money on this one. My dog is only 65-70lbs, but glad I went big with this one because he has more Finally a crate that Brady can't chew through! • great quality and price!

    By on

This crate is made out of sturdy coated wire and is well made with one exception...wherever wire was cut, it is very sharp. Several times when my dog has stepped inside, if she doesnt step all the way in (her foot clips the bottom edge of door) she cries out in pain from these cut wire edges. They need to be filed down and recoated to prevent this. Same problem across top front and back of crate. Otherwise a great product.

  • Great Heavy Duty crate

    By on

This is a great heavy duty crate. Good locking mechanism. Won't accidentally come unlatched if it's properly latched to begin with. It's also just a tiny bit roomier than the less expensive crates.

  • Well made!

I needed a HD crate for our 70lb lab, who we just adopted and has "issues". He'd already destroyed one crate, and we wanted security without injury. This one delivered.

  • Excellent!

This crate is solid, sturdy, and a perfect choice for long time use. The divider is adjustable, giving your puppy just the right space as he or she grows. I also have to commend Chewy.com for its speedy delivery.
