  • Dog crate arrived too late and not of quality expected

    By on

The crate was not the strength I expected and arrive several days later than advertized by Chewy.Com. I was skeptical buying on line, (being as I was unable to see the quality), and sure enough, it was not what I had in mind. The side door is loose and rattles when my dog move about in it. There were no rollers to move it, just 1" rubber pieces that fall off continueously. Already can't find them all and fear my pet may have eaten it, she's a puppy after all.

  • Grows as puppy grows

    By on

I've bought a Midwest dog crate several years ago (2002) and the older model was better in that the gauge of metal wire was a lot lower (was a lot thicker). It was harder to put together because it had corner rods to weave the side and front (or back) panels together. This new crate I bought is made to fold flat in a jiffy. The gauge of wire used is significantly thicker than other foldable crates. Plus it has two doors. It also came with a removable divider so I can use it now for my Golden Retriever puppy, and the crate will grow with her.

  • Solid and Strong

    By on

We were replacing a 'home' that required totally taking apart to transport. This piece folds neatly and easily, and even has two handles for carrying. It was set up and ready within 2 minutes of arrival. The wire is heavy gauge, the two doors are secure, and the finish is flawless. We highly recommend it for 20 to 25 pound dogs.

  • Can't Beat The Height

    By on

Chose this kennel specifically because it's a few inches taller then the rest of the 48" kennels. My catahoula isn't huge but he is very leggy and sits at about 32". This kennel is more expensive but it was worth it for the extra height alone. It was easy to put together, seems very sturdy. Very happy with the purchase!

  • Perfect Fit!

    By on

Two of these crates fit perfectly side by side in the cargo area of my Subaru Forester! I like the heavy wire construction and double door locks. My dogs are comfortable and happy!

  • Very well built crate

    By on

We own a total of four crates, two of which are the MidWest Ultima Pro crates. Both of the Midway Ultima crates are very well built and sturdy. Money well spent.

  • Awesome Crate for Unruly Standard Poodle

    By on

This crate is awesome. I've had it 6 months and it's held up very well to an extremely rambunctious and sometimes ornery smaller standard poodle. The double locks on the doors are a must when she's trying to bang down the door. The latches do not have bent ends to really snap into place, but she never figured out to slide them open, plus they are just a bit stiff. The paint has been chipped off along the sliding latches but you can't see it from the front. My only complaint to crates in general is the constant sound of the plastic tray moving every time the dog shifts her weight. This height is perfect for her; she's about 40 pounds and standard poodles are tall. She could have grown a bit more This crate is awesome. She's very content with the overall size, but it does seem very big in the room. It's great for smaller pups too, if you need to put a potty pad in the back half and leave for a few hours. … more

  • Finally a crate that Brady can't chew through!

    By on

Finally a crate that Brady can't chew through! I've been through about 3 crates already with my dog, Brady, who is part pitbull-american bull dog-boxer. He's chewed through metal multiple times, but this one has held up! I've had it for 9 months now! Definitely recommend this crate to anyone with the same problem I had. My dog has severe separation anxiety and he's even gotten his head stuck in between the top corner of some of our old crate doors, which was incredibly frightening to come home to!! We've been through zip ties and carabeaners, even locks in some old crates. So glad I spent the extra money on this one. My dog is only 65-70lbs, but glad I went big with this one because he has more Finally a crate that Brady can't chew through! This crate was a breeze to put together. All the pieces were there and it was solidly welded in place. It is perfect for our dog!
