Happy with this 30” Pen
I purchased this to use in a limited space in an RV place off crating my dog. The pen is very adaptable, allowing me to create an L-shape in the corner of the kitchen around the island, and is roomy with its 8 panels (including the door/gate). My dog is small, 23 pounds and his height is good for him. I believe he could climb or find a way over if he was determined to do so, but he is being trained to be comfortable and accepting of this space in my absence, and has shown no signs of looking for escape. The pen also comes with stakes for outside use, and folds up to a manageable size for when not in use.
Awesome pen
We use this as a gate. One end is hooked into our puppy’s crate, the other end is wedged between a wall and couch. It works awesome. Easy enough for my 6 year old to open and close from both ends, sturdy enough to keep puppy inside. Easy to set up and figure everything out. Holds up to our 10 lb puppy jumping on it when we go on the other size. Tall enough she can’t get over it. Picture is of when both ends of the pen were connected to the crate. Three kids and one puppy fit well! I’m very happy with this purchase. I’ve owned this for about two weeks and it’s gone through a lot of abuse with my rough children.
Does the job
The pen is perfect for our dog. It’s sturdy enough to keep him in, yet flexible enough to change the shape depending on which room we put it in. The only thing I don’t care for is when I open the pen, I have to lift my dog over the metal piece at the bottom. We solved it by flipping the pen upside down, so my dog can enter and leave the pen without having to step over the metal part at the bottom.
Very clumsy to open and close the door
The door on this crate doesn't line up with the latches, so it's very difficult to open and close it. Also the plastic stablizer pieces don't fit onto it it at all. My puppy is over 15 lbs and soon he's going to be big enough to knock this right over. For a tall pen meant for bigger dogs, it's not stable at all.
must have for a puppy!
Great quality for a good price! This has made it so much easier with my 10 week old puppy because i don’t have to worry about him chewing anything up when i turn around for a second.
I would give it 5* but...
On the 24" model there is a tiny clip for locking the gate. Sensible, great, that's fine, except it's impossible to release without a flat headed screwdriver or such like to lever it free after the gate has been "locked". We don't need it and so don't use it, but if it does get engaged, or arrives with the "lock" on, brace yourself for a PIA time unlocking the gate.
Bargain
For the price this is a nice sturdy little playpen fence for my rabbit. It even comes with anchors to stick it into the dirt if you'd like.
Great quality product!
I can see this was made well. Uniform welding and painting. My chicks loved it. Now I use it to keep them out of my hostas! Lol
Great in some ways, not in others
My 4MO German Shepherd was easily able to tip this right over. He couldn’t jump it, but he quickly figured out he could jump at it full force and knock it. Since it was for indoor use and tall, I couldn’t find a way to anchor it enough so he couldn’t tip it. For outdoor use, I would absolutely affix it to a fence or something so it couldn’t be tipped
Puppy pen
This pen is wonderful. I have 6 puppies and I put them in it at night and during the day when it gets too hot for them outside or if it’s raining. They can’t climb out and they have plenty of room.
