Instructions

Using a cloth measuring tape – measure your dog’s neck where the collar would normally sit. Use the measurements below to select the purchasing size:

Small: 9.5 – 12 inches | Medium: 10.75 – 14 inches | Large: 14.5 – 18 inches | X-Large: 17.5 – 21 Inches

Size

To get the most accurate size collar for your furry best friend, measure the center of their neck a with a cloth tape measure, a few inches down from their head. Pull the tape snug, but not tight. If you don't have a tape measure, you can also use a piece of string and measure it with a rigid ruler afterwards. Make sure there’s enough room for about two fingers between the collar and your pup’s neck.

We recommend if you have a toy breed or small dog, add an inch to the neck measurement. For medium and large dogs, add two inches to the neck measurement.

Size NeckWidth
Small 9.5 - 12 inches 1/2 inch
Medium 10.75 - 14 inches 3/4 inch
Large 14.5 - 18 inches 1 inch
X-Large 17.5 - 21 inches1.2 inch

    leather dog collar

    By on

it's beautiful, BUT, I ordered a medium and it was way too small for my medium-sized dog. I gave the collar to my daughter for her Maltese and it just fit her! I should have returned it, but my daughter was happy to get the collar for her dog. Now I still need one but am unsure what to order.

    Broke in 1st week

    By on

The leather seems like quality leather and I liked the color so I was really disappointed when the loop that holds the strap broke within the first week. Do not purchase.

    Looks cute but not durable

    By on

I have 35 lbs, 65 lbs and 75 lbs dogs and got this collar for all three. The d-rings where you would snap a leash or tie out are not welded or joined in any way, they're just bent. So my two larger dogs bent the d-rings and were able to slip loose from their tie out (house dogs but get tied outside to do their business). So we welded the d-rings ends together, problem solved. Next the 65 lbs dog was tied and launched at a deer in the yard, collar snapped clean in two and the ones on the other dogs are looking like they will snap any minute. I take great care of leather products (Hunter/jumper equestrian here) and know good leather from cheap. This. Is. Cheap. Unless the collar is for decoration I have 35 lbs, 65 lbs and 75 lbs dogs and got this collar for all three. Very happy with purchase!

This is a strong, well made collar. Used in training a strong, exuberant 9 month old puppy. With this collar, ..... she's not going anywhere! Excellent training tool. Would buy again.

    Leather collar

    By on

Was really excited about getting this collar, loved it when I got it, however after using it for almost 2 weeks, loop that is holding end of the collar in place, broke... now I have to replace it, because it stick out...

    Ok in a pinch

    By on

This collar is thinner than I expected, but still durable. However the leather loop closure piece that is supposed to keep the end of the collar flat was held in place by a thin string and came off after first use. Without that, the end of the collar sticks out from the clasp and metal ring, making it a little obtrusive. And it becomes easy for the second dog in the house to grab onto while playing.

    Runs small

    By on

Got this collar for my dog who has a sensitivity to the nylon collars. While it's a nice leather collar the sizes do run small. I ordered the large for my 60 pound Lab mix and it just fits him. If he puts on any weight it will be too small. Should have ordered the extra large for room to grow. I does bother me that the description says it was made in the USA, but the packaging it came in said "Made in China". I most likely would not have bought it if I knew it was made in China.

    Nice soft leather!

    By on Top 1000 Contributor

I love a nice soft leather collar. I have a collection of leather collars but didn't have a nice plain one. The sizing was perfect and the leather is so soft. I keep it conditioned and it has stayed super nice even with swimming at the beach and in field training. Nice collar for competition or every day use. Matches a leather leash I have perfectly. But this collar will stretch with use. I like that I can punch holes in it for a better fit.

Good Collar size chart was wrong

X-Large said 17.5" to 21", 20" is the smallest it would go. I ordered the large instead
