I am confused about how these collars are put on the dog. My dog does not like having a harness put over her head so I am trying to find one that attaches around her neck like a collar and then around the body. Is that how this harness works?

This harness doesn't go over the head. It will clip around the lower neck, swing over the shoulder and clip on the other side.
