Mighty Paw Padded Sports Reflective No Pull Dog Harness

NECK NOT ADJUSTABLE

Great product. Well made. However the neck portion is not adjustable while the chest is adjustable. It is getting to be too tight around our eight month English Labrador's neck. The chest adjustment works fine. We were going to buy the large version but it is out of stock so we will buy another brand as we need the harness now.

Heavy Duty Harness

I purchased this harness because my dog is high energy and excitable. I wanted to have something that would keep him from pulling so much. Due to the fit, I really don't feel he is securely contained using it on the front hook. 1. The small size was just a tab bigger than his chest. The neck measurement was too small, so I went with the medium. The neck is too loose. 2. The chest is chinced up as small as I can get it, but there is too much slack. 3. The clasps for the chest are very tight and hard for me to open. I have to put my fingers on the clasp, then put the fingers from the other hand on and squeeze with all 4 finger. Sometimes, I can get it to open, sometimes I have to get my husband to take it off and even he has a hard time. Hoping is will get easier with time. 4. The piece from the neck to the chest a bit too long. I didn't know there was a clasp on the neck of the harness or I may have purchased the small size. But my boy might end up growing out of the chest size. He is still young and has some maturing to do. I am looking at ways I can modify this harness to fit him. I have tried other harnesses and have come to the conculsion that he is just an inbetween size. He has a long neck and a round head. I had previously tried a harness similar to this, and could not get his head through the neck opening. I presumed this harness was made in the same manner as the one we tried previously. I like the materials and the construction of this harness. It is very nice quality and finished well. One of the selling features of this harness is actually the handle on the back. It makes it easier to hold him when we are in a place where the leash is too long. I gave this harness a 4 star rating because it is a quality product, even though you need a vise like grip in order to operate the clasps.

Terrible fit, stiff and too hard to remove

This harness is an awkward fit for my dog, its stiff and uncomfortable for her. Also, the clasps are extremely difficult to open, so makes it way to hard to remove the harness. Had to return.

Safety concerns

This harness did nothing to help my dog’s pulling. What’s more concerning is that the leash ring on the back is so wide that it somehow pops my dog’s leash clamp open, so he has escaped off leash before. He even escapes from his car leash while wearing this harness because the ring somehow pushes that leash clamp open too.

Great harness but sizing is inaccurate

This harness is well made, but I carefully measured my dog and the small size is huge. I’ll donate it to humane society where I’m sure it will be useful for some lucky dog.

OK- not great!

The neck really needs to be more adjustable. I have all the adjustments on the smallest setting and it's still too big for my pup, especially in the neck. I'm afraid she's going to be able to get out of it.

the plastic fastener broke

Plastic fastener is not strong enough for large dogs. It just snapped and broke in less than a year of use.

Not a good fit for our dog

I'm sure it's lovely but he's a difficult size to fit, just above a small and below weight for a medium. No idea how to rate as we donated it.

Nice harness, very sturdy, the only downside is the neck strap is not adjustable. Pretty tight on my 75lb. Lab.

Hard to open and release the belts

This would have a 5 star, but it is too difficult to squeeze the enclosures / belt. My husband even had a hard time. Not good for anyone that has weakness in your hands or arthritis. Once I got it on my dog, I couldn't get it off until husband came home. Will donate to the same rescue I did with the 1st one I ordered that was too small. Sticking with his reg. collar and lease I guess.
