Description

Cats are natural carnivores, so they thrive on a diet that’s high in animal protein. That’s why Landmark by American Journey Salmon Recipe is crafted with 95% salmon and fish broth, plus 5% vitamins, minerals and other nutrients like taurine to round out a complete, balanced meal. Real salmon is the first ingredient, delicately shredded and cooked in a flavorful broth—it’s a gourmet approach to a prey-based diet. You won’t find any grains, wheat, corn, soy, carrageenan, synthetic flavor enhancers, or artificial flavors, colors or preservatives. Only quality, delicious ingredients you can recognize, to fuel your curious carnivore. A shorter list of ingredients also makes it great for cats with food sensitivities.

Transitioning Tips:

Some kitties are picky when trying out a new food, so don’t worry if your cat doesn’t go for Miko at first, especially if they’ve been eating a lower-moisture wet food or kibble only. A little patience goes a long way. You can also try these simple tips for a smooth transition:

  1. Mix it up with a fork
  2. Try a meal topper
  3. Keep it fresh—always refrigerate unused portion and keep according to packaging instructions

    Miko Salmon Recipe

By Maria on Apr 6, 2020

After reading the reviews on this food, I decided to try it for my 8 month old kitten. She would not eat it. She would smell the food and just walk away. If I left it for her, with nothing else to eat, within 24 hours she would eat a few bites. I have tried on multiple days and used 4 cans trying. (I purchased a case.) She has always been a fish eater with salmon being her favorite. I will not buy this product again.

    Scrumptious!

By Tootsweet on Apr 9, 2020

My 11 cats thought this food was so incredibly tasty and scrumptious - they devoured it and I am ordering it again! Food texture was small pieces with a little juice/water - can was well packed, not loose.

    Looks like people food.

    By Catnip on Apr 14, 2020 top1000Contributor

I am always trying to convince my cats to eat healthier. This food looks and smells great but none of my cats would eat this. Its worth trying if your cat has eaten similar foods.

    My cats love it!

By Lila on Mar 18, 2020

As soon as my cats hear the opening of the can and smell the salmon, they come running! I've tried a few salmon-only wet foods, and they seem to like this one the best so far!

Looks nice but cats didn't like it!

By FriskiesTreats on Mar 16, 2020

This product looked good but cats didn't care for it. Usually my cats like wet food. I don't know what is the problem with this one but this is no go.

    Straightforward Food

By Shannon on Oct 15, 2019

One of my cats is horribly allergic to chicken so I spend a lot of time looking for chicken-less food that also is high protein/low-carb. I was happy to put this into my rotation. Both my cats slurp it up and I feel better knowing it's more pure.
