If you offer shells for calcium with this food is it appropriate for laying ducks?
Answer by ChewyMay 28, 2022
This feed is also suitable for ducks, geese and waterfowl. Feed from the time the first egg is laid throughout egg production. Crushed oyster shell and grit are to be offered free choice.

Disappointing

Maybe ducks can eat this, but it's too big for my large Plymouth Rock hens. There are what appear to be whole chickpeas in the mix, and the cracked corn is huge. The chicken's run is now littered with grains that they cannot eat. It's a mess. I stopped feeding it and I will not purchase from this company again.

My hens LOVE it!

I have two very old, picky hens who are the last of a 6-hen group. They have a large yard to roam in and they eat bugs, slugs, and plants from the lawn and planters. We also give them various greens and meal worms, and they peck around the bird feeders a bit. They have largely ignored the various feeds we have provided them with for the past five years, but they jumped on this feed instantly and started pecking away. I bought the smallest size (2 lbs.) to try it out and it seems really concentrated so it will last them awhile, especially considering their lifestyle

Mostly dust

Mostly dust and very little for the chickens to eat.
