Is this really horse feed?

I purchased this when my horse's preferred food was out of stock. It was rated high so I felt it would be an "okay" temporary substitute. WRONG!! Right out of the bag, I thought something was off. It looked like pale moldy dog pellets. I even checked the package to make sure this was indeed equine feed. Tried it with my horse (he is NOT a fussy eater) but he wouldn't touch it. The other two horses in his paddock would have nothing to do with it either. I have never in my over 40 years as a horse owner had to throw out horse feed before. Horribly disappointing. Chewy's response to my complaint was also disappointing which was surprising. Usually customer service is great but not so with this transaction. I am considering stopping my autoship orders with Chewy and going elsewhere, even if the cost is higher.

Great Hard Keepers

We use this at the SPCA for all of our rescue horses and oh my gosh I fell in love with this stuff . It’s amazing what a difference it makes in three weeks to a horse that is on the bounds of being skinny . When I bring my horses from my ex husbands place in Tennessee I will be feeding this to my personal horses as well. I will also be adding costRead more about review stating Milestone life al hay and alfalfa hay as well with the feed like we do with our rescues . Our ration with this feed is 2.5 scoops, 1/2 scoop of senior (for our really emancipated horses) a flake or two of coastal and 1flake of alfalfa twice a day for skinny we feed three times a day. This is a wonderful feed to feed and will be making a personal big order on this feed very soon we live in Sherman Texas so our feed store carries this brand . Finally a feed that shows a difference, is very easy to feed, and is a not ringing your pocket money wise
