I was using clippers that came bundled with a brush. They seemed to work well for cutting but the lock was loose and was annoying so I decided to purchase these since Millers Forge are the brand I had used by whole life. Al no longer pulls his paws away for cutting and these don’t make the same sound the others did. They are very smooth and seem to be more comfortable for my puppy. He is 9mo old 70lb boy who now doesn’t mind nail trimming.

Easy to use and sharp - no complaints. (Except from the dog who doesn't love getting her nails trimmed.)

Love these cutters because they cut through my dog’s thick nails quite easily without making that chopping sound that scares the dogs. The size is good because it fits in my hand nicely.

While these did not work for my big dogs, I still give them good rating. I wish we could give half star ratings, because I'd really give these a 3.5 star rating. I know these are not labeled for big dogs, but were recommended by people with breeds of all sizes. They are very thin and uncomfortable in my hands. I feel they will work well on thinner nails. I may still use these for my cats, give them to someone with smaller dogs, or save them for future puppies.

This is by far the best nail clippers I have purchased! My dog HATES clippers but he doesn’t mind these at all. I had to resort to a nail grinder but felt I could do a better job. Now I can use the clippers and clean up with the nail grinder. Absolutely the best!

These clippers are very simple. No frills or extra features. However, they are the sharpest clippers I have ever used. They cut quickly and precisely with little effort so it’s as comfortable as possible for my dogs. I would never buy a different brand. These are great.

These are by far my favorite nail clippers. This is my second pair, after my first pair finally needed to be retired after many, many years of service. They’re the perfect size for my terriers and they always cut well. Highly recommend.

These are fantastic! I have always used the orange handled large dog nail clippers. They crush more than they cut and are difficult for me to sharpen. These are highly recommended in a dog nail maintenance group. If used correctly they are perfect, fantastic and much quieter. Definitely highly recommend these. I have a large dog and these are perfect for taking small slivers off. Much less stress for the dog and on the clippers.

I was afraid of clipping our dog's nails--worried I'd hurt him; the sound of the snip would drive me nuts...These clippers are fabulous. Use them correctly and they are safe and quick. I used a Dremel before, which I liked, but these are way more efficient. I had researched best clippers on the web and this brand was recommended by Wirecutter (New York Times). They are also affordable. If your dog has dark nails you need to be extra careful.

The reviews were good but they fell apart before I even used them. I squeezed them twice just before I was to cut my dog's nails and the red sleeve on the left slipped off and the spring sprung to the floor. It had good reviews but Millers Forge did not secure the red sleeves so with each squeeze they slip off.
