So thankful for this miracle product
By Emily on Jan 13, 2021
My dog had surgery and can’t be taken safely to the groomers so we have had to start trimming her nails ourselves. One nail bled quite a lot, but instead of freaking out, I grabbed the powder and it immediately stopped. I can only think how worried we would have been if she had continued to bleed. Worth every penny.

Benzocaine is good
By PPetP on Jan 23, 2021
I haven't needed it yet. My dog has dark nails, so it's impossible to see the quick. You can buy a much larger jar of styptic powder for only twice as much, but I feel that the benzocaine is worth the money.

10/10 recommend
By Lindsey on Jan 12, 2021
We bought this in case we ever cut our GSP’s nails too short. Luckily, we haven’t had to use it for that purpose yet. She did get a small cut that wouldn’t stop bleeding while playing outside, and this dried it right up.

By Malidajo on Dec 11, 2020
This is a great item to have on hand when having dogs. Especially when your 13 year old Lab still thinks she is a puppy.

Best styptic powder on the market. We use this at my job and I use it at home on my own dogs as well.

It works!!!
By Barbra on Jun 11, 2020
Since I was not able to get my dogs' nails trimmed during the COVID-19 pandemic, I thought I would try doing it myself! I have always been afraid to do this, and I did well with our smaller dogs (a Papillon and a Pomeranian). However, when I tried to cut the nails on our Golden Retriever mix, I did a terrible job! I hurt my poor baby girl and made her bleed...TWICE! I stopped after that and decided to leave it to the professionals. I didn't even want to attempt this until I had this Kwik-Stop Styptic Powder, and I'm so glad I did. It stopped the bleeding immediately!

This is an essential!
By Michelle on Jul 15, 2020 Top 1000 Contributor
I'm older than I used to be, and my vision is not what it used to be either! The last time I trimmed our dog's nails, I accidentally cut pretty deeply into the quick. Not only did I hurt the poor pup, it wouldn't stop bleeding - the front porch looked like there had been a massacre there. I tried cornstarch, flour, etc but nothing worked until we put pressure on the affected toe and stopped the bleeding. After that, I'll never be without Kwik-Stop again.
