the product information states hazardous for humans....what is in it that is hazardous (I noted one reviewer used it on herself!)

This product is hazardous for humans when ingested. When used as directed it poses no hazard to humans.
Is this product supposed to be sealed with a plastic film under the cap? Or is it just supposed to be sealed by the outer box?

The container containing the product is not sealed, the outbox will be.
Is this safe for a puppy or dog to lick because they like to lick everything. Thank you.

works on people too

Does the job it is supposed to do. I dipped q-tip in water to moisten, then dipped into powder, then applied to tiny bleeding on my own skin; it worked! Stopped it right away. Haven't had to use it on my dogs yet, haven't cut their nails too short yet, but it's good to know that this stuff works and doesn't hurt, ahead of time.

Works fast and well!

If you trim your dogs nails yourself, you need this stuff! It works very fast, stops bleeding immediately. I pour some out into the lid of this container before I start trimming, if I hit the blood line, I immediately dip the nail in this powder and bleeding stops quickly and completely. Love this powder!

For emergencies...

Haven't used it yet. I have cats that hate having their nails clipped, so it's a emergency product for us, just in case.

Kwik Stop Styptic Powder

Although I have not used this yet, I have used in in the past and it worked excellent. Stops bleeding fast. We got it so when we try clipping out pups nails ourselves, if we make him bleed, we'll have this.

A Must Have

Our dog has black nails but won't let anyone but my husband or me cut her nails. We keep this on hand and the one time we nicked a quick, it stopped the bleeding immediately!

Stop the bleeding

Riley drags his foot when he walks and after 6 hours of playing ball on the pool deck he had worn down a nail and it was bleeding. Just a little bit of the styptic powder helped clot it up and heal overnight!

Received a used product!!!!!!!!

I’m extremely upset about I received a product that someone had used. The first thing I saw as soon as I received it was that the packaging it came in was ripped, and the jar around it was too dirty as you can see in the photos and the inside was not sealed. And the contents that are only half filled as if someone used it. I don't want to receive an item that someone else has already used with the money I earned through my precious time and labor. Chewy seems to need more thorough product inspection before sending it to customers. I want to get a refund for this. So disappointed with Chewy.
