Remove pad from container and squeeze excess liquid into the eye. Use pad to remove debris. Use three to four times daily as needed.
I was asked to write this review following a purchase of eye cleaning pads for my dog. The pads were great and were received quickly, as usual. On a larger scale I'd like to say that Chewy is the best American company, (not just for Pets) I've worked with since we've had our little ShihTtzu (12 years). The products are always high quality, delivered on time, and if you need customer service they are always helpful, cheerful and provide prompt service. Other companies should adopt this model.
I have a little dog who has a lot of allergies and gets a lot of matter below her eyes. I used these pads and they are gentle yet very effective to soften and remove the dried matter.
Great product, just the right size for my toy poodles and they stay damp and so far have not dried out. It comes in a jar that screws and keeps them nice and moist. The fur babies like them and they don't resist my cleaning their tear ducks. Can now clean their crappy stuff out pretty quick without a large sized cloth that would flap about, which they didn't like.
My digs live at the beach constantly have sand ,salt water in and around eyes. This is easy fast way to wipe them clean
I have used these pads 2x a day for years to clean the thick or dry mucus from the corner of my mini Schnauzer mix's eyes (has a dry eye condition for which she takes prescription drops). As to separating the pads, I just pinch them in the middle from both sides and pull apart. Sometimes the pads feel a little dry on the top of the stack on a new container. I just invert the closed jar for a day or two and the moisture wicks down. These pads are more moist than the brand I used before although I have never found there to be enough moisture in any pad to extract a drop of fluid. I also have never found a smell coming from the pads.
I have two Persian kitties and they demand daily eye care. I keep these on hand because they are the best I've tried. I've seen reviews that they are small, thin and not wet enough. Yes, they are thin and you have to pull them apart, but you can use both sides of each pad. I usually use 2 pads for each kitty, but my kitties eyes are really messy. The pads have never dried out and they have never changed color. I keep these on hand.
Not very happy at all; very flimsy pad. Couldn't wipe my puppies eyes without them shredding.
These are very good to have. Our male cat Will has those tear stains in the corner of his eyes, and he is always scratching at his eyes, so I wipe each eye from the inside corner out and he does not seem to mind. I had been just using warm water on a cotton ball, this is much easier.
These wash pads come in so handy. I have a doggy bag that contains ear wipes, wash pads and malikite wipes. One pad per eye and I couldn’t be happier with the level of moisture these wipes have & keep!
Only used one so far. Works better than water. Skin around her eyes red. So not sure from rubbing on it or if it irritated her skin. Like I said only used one time.
