Used sharps should be immediately placed in a sharps disposal container. FDA-cleared sharps containers are generally available through pharmacies, medical supply companies, health care providers and online. These containers are made of puncture-resistant plastic with leak-resistant sides and bottom. They also have a tight fitting, puncture-resistant lid. If an FDA-cleared container is not available a heavy-duty plastic household container, such as a laundry detergent container can be used as an alternative.
Use according to your veterinarian's instructions.
Syringes should be kept out of the reach of children and pets.
These syringes are prescribed by your veterinarian in order to deliver medications to your pet. Make sure you are using the correct size needle for your pet needs.
These are excellent. I have given thousands of injections having been an ER nurse 23 years. A very sharp needle aids for comfort of the injection & it should slide thru the skin without resistance. Even after sticking these thru the rubber on the insulin bottle, the needles are so sharp it slides thru my kitty's skin. I am so very pleased with these syringes.
These syringes , U- 40 1/2”, are very easy to use and accurate to draw up insulin. I would highly recommend them.
These are good quality syringes at a decent price. They units are also easy to read to ensure your pet gets the accurate dosage.
It’s hard to pull for me anyway I have to pull it open first. Then do the insulin. Also hard to read the line.
I was looking for 1ml syringes for a B12 injection, the markings for these syringes are not in milliliters but in units. Attached photo shows the syringe from my vet with milliliter markings and the syringes from this product with units. I guess the U-40 on the box indicates the syringes are 40 units, so I guess I am stupid, but I'm writing this review in case others are confused.
Should have ordered something w/ smaller syringe and larger spaces between hatch marks. Hard to see the 0.5 cc, as there is no marking for that and the hatch marks are very close together. Sorry to add, the action is hard on these syringes, plungers doesn't move easily nor smoothly inside the barrel. The needles are good, short and thin. Would work well for larger doses in whole cc's.
My dog recently was diagnosed with Diabetes. My first box of syringes was another brand and was over twice the price for same amount of syringes. As the amount of insulin needed to regulate my dog got higher and higher I needed a syringe that was wider and could hold the amount. This meant less time of needle in dog and easier for me to push insulin in. The vet recommended Monoject. So glad I tried these. These work wonderfully. Why pay more !
These syringes work great, although my cat Dusty is a little scared when he sees the needle but they are very easy to use and it is over in a second.
we have been using monojet for about 6 months,it is very easy and safe to use,our dog doesn't hardly ever feel the shot
