Thankful for this product and for Chewy

I had a bird that was presenting with symptoms of an intestinal infection. It was something she had been diagnosed with before and I had been able to treat with the help of an avian vet and prescription antibiotics. The problem is, avian/exotic vets are in short supply where I live. It's hit or miss whether the closest vet hospital has someone who will see birds. This time when I realized what was going on, I was told it would be four days before an avian specialist would be on staff to see her. She was not eating and wasting away so I didn't think she would last that long. I took a chance and ordered this from product Chewy, not even sure if it would arrive in time to help her. Well, maybe Chewy knows people don't order bird antibiotics off the Internet unless it's an emergency, because they got this to me in less than 48 hours--on a Sunday no less! I was SO grateful! And sure enough, after just a few days on the Amoxitex plus regular tube feeding, my pet perked up and made what appears (a month later) to be a full recovery. The hardest thing about having pet birds is making sure they get appropriate medical care when they need it. The struggle is real! I'm so thankful that Chewy has this product available when all else fails.

Parrot - runny stools

Intelligent birds can do strange things. Last year she lost weight, runny, watery droppings. Vet concerned but only swabbed the dropping. Not much said other than 'maybe it is her liver'. She is 22 years. I came home and did research on liver, etc. I purchased this product and your other product for liver issues. She improved. She eats, sings, but requires lots of interaction. Weight comes and goes. I will try your other Broad Spectrum Antibiotic as she still has a slight wheeze or whistle in her breathing, but you have to be close and listen carefully. Eyes, nose, clear and feathers beautiful. She could be jealous of Great Pyr dog attention. Like humans, they like to be treated equally! Thank you Chewy.com
