    Seed is not sterile

    By on

An all-natural product, it has not been heat sterilized to prevent sprouting in your yard. Great if you want a field of thistle, otherwise you are taking your chances. Birds seem to like it, though. (I have read that you can sterilize it yourself by putting it in a 300degF oven for 30 minutes.)

    Thistle for birds

    By on

The thistle was just fine..however, they boxed it with heavy cat sand which split open the thistle bag.....thistle all over! Cat sand is tough to ship. Otherwise, you are doing great!

    Bad thistle

    By on

Finches will not eat this thistle. They land on new sock feeder and immediately go to an adjacent tube feeder. The sock is new and the food was just purchased with sock. Disappointed.

this seed is perfect for my feeder and the small size bag is great. I'm waiting for my birds to find the feeder. I may have waited too long to put it out.

    Seed Dry Old. Poor quality

    By on

First time purchased. Will not repurchase. When pouring seed, created such a dust cloud I literally choked. Seed was old and dry. Bag was slightly torn and seed spilled out in shipping box. Feeder emptied so quickly. I watched while they let seed fall to ground.

    Birds LOVE it!!

    By on

I had several birds feeding off of this seed (in thistle bags). Within days I have more beautiful finches than I can count. I need to set up more feeding bags to accommodate.

Cheaper than what I pay at Big Box Stores

    By on

Arrived intact, no birdseed everywhere. Birds love it, I love that it doesn't sprout plants under the feeder.

Great seed for attracting goldfinches to your feeders!

    By on

Well packed and fresh, so it could go right into my finch feeder. The goldfinches love this seed and I saw some almost right away.
