I have either tried or considered trying other paw balms but by far this is the best. My dog gets extremely dried paws in summer. I apply this 3 times a week or so and his paws stay relatively “normal” i love it because it’s all natural and i can see him feeling relieved as soon as i apply it on his paws. It also leaves my dry hands feel great.
This really protects paws. I know that it has to be waxy to work well, but I hate the wax trails it leaves behind before we get outside! That aside, I always repurchase this because it is the best product out there (as far as I know) for paw protection.
I don’t know what’s in this stuff and my dog never “officially” got diagnosed with hyperkeratosis but she had hair like texture growing on the “extra toes” she has on her front ankles. It was very short and crusty so if it was “hyperkeratosis” it was an EXTREMELY mild version of it. One of her beans was yellow and crusty on the pink part of her toes and the other is just brown crusty on her black toes. But my fiancé started to use this and within 2 days this started to crumble off of her and look like normal toe beans. 10/10 recommend.
I've tried other tricks for rough feet such as vaseline and bag balm. Highly, disappointed in all the options out there... UNTIL this! My great dane has rough feet and calluses due exposure 99% of the time to grass or hardwood floors out in the country. I give her a "little" doggie pedicure and finish it off with a massage using this! She loves it, but does not try to lick it off and her paws are so soft. She usually passes out for a few hours after her spa visit. That really gives it time to work its magic. We rarely deal with snow, but this product is also great preemptively at repelling dirt, ice, and moisture. HIGHLY recommended! On our top 10 list!
i kept hearing good things about this, but was still super impressed by how well it works. my dog has basically no fur on her feet and we live in minnesota, but she's able to run around barefoot at the dog park (in snow) for over an hour with no problems. never thought that was possible. her feet are now softer, too! i also use it for my other dog's large nips, which sit in the snow when she potties. works great at protecting them and preventing calluses. highly recommend.
Only complaint is I wish there was an in between size of 60 g vs 200 g! The 200 g jar is going to last forever. I have to walk in a lot of cold weather before work, and I’ll use this to help. My dog seems much more comfortable even when it’s below zero out. He would not tolerate boots so this is a great alternate option!
We are an outdoor family but have had some bone chilling cold of 20 below so we wanted to try this out on our dogs paws so he could play outside with us. He was able to be outside with us for 30 min in -20 degree weather and be okay. Whereas before he would get cracked paws and bleed. I would highly recommend this product to any family who loves being outside in the cold and want their pup to join them comfortably! We still don't let him stay out for too long but it definitely helps!
This was recommended for protecting chickens' combs and waddles from the cold. It works great, it helped mitigate a lot of frostbite damage on our rooster, and it doesn't make a mess of their feathers like bag balm does. It also feels great on our hands in the cold!
My Boston terrier hates his boots, but the salt on the city sidewalks in Chicago in ice and snow burns his feet. This product was the answer! Highly recommend.
It's a good product for your dogg paws I waxed his paws so he would knot have irritation paws.
