She loves it!
My dog loves this treat dispenser and it keeps her busy for good periods of time. The size of the hole makes it a little more challenging than Kongs. This means I can fill it with fewer treats and still make it fun for her. I fill it with small treats and a few slightly larger ones that will not easily roll out. I spread a little dog peanut butter over the hole (letting a little get under the rim). Since the hole is small, it only takes a small spoonful to cover it. The larger treats tend to block the opening as she rolls it around and one or two of those never come out (until I break them up with my fingers or a butter knife), so she stays engaged for a long time and keeps going back to it throughout the day.
Both my German Shepherds love this toy! Has held up through some heavy chewing
Bought for our secret Santa recipient.
Bought for our secret Santa recipient. Her mom said she'll really enjoy it!!
Their new favorite toy
This cupcake definitely stands up to my super chewer, and makes her work hard for her treats. I bought this originally for my beagle, but it is complicated enough that both she, and my freakishly smart coonhound can share it. For one I just put in some wet food, squeezey cheese or kong spray can treats, with a cookie on top. For the other I pack it with small training treats and watch her go. It gives me some quiet time, and keeps them occupied for up to several hours. I will probably purchase the larger one for my coonhound so she has one in her own size. If your dog is quick at working out puzzles and treat dispensing toys, this is definitely a toy you should purchase. Plus the cupcake design is beyond adorable.
Medium is a bit small, but still high-quality!
We bought this as a toy for our 60lb pointer. Unfortunately, it was a bit small for our pointer - about the size of a tennis ball, maybe smaller. Blessedly, we had a foster puppy in the house who ADORED this toy and it was instrumental in her crate training. Overall, I would recommend this for smaller dogs, but not larger dogs.
Tough treat toy
One of my dogs pulled the milk bone right out and the other one had broken the bone and gave up after a short period of time.
I couldn't even get the cookie or bone (nothing) out all this. We even tried to cut the slices back so the treat could release. We still can't get anything out without cutting it up
Would not recommend
It comes with a heavy paper insert that for us tore at the opening becoming impossible to get the paper out from inside the cupcake. You have to jam the bone into the hole which the dog bit off but then neither human nor dog could get the balance bone out of the cupcake - tossed.
Perfect Birthday Cupcake
My dog loves to chew, so toys rarely last. I like to buy him toys that are made in the US, so my options are very limited. I wish you could see how excited my dog was to unwrap this gift(yes, we wrap his presents since he loves to unwrap presents)! He moans with pleasure while trying to get the treat out of this one!
Lasted 8 minutes
Bought this due to the reviews saying it was indestructible. Unfortunately within 8 minutes our Lab mix superchewer bit one side off. It did last longer than 5 minutes, which usually means somewhat success for us.
