2 Different Recipes in these cans now

    By on

My cat loved the original recipe, and I bought 4 cartons at a time. All of a sudden, the ingredients look darker, grainier, and the smell is different. My cat won’t go near it. I called the company, no response. I’ve written the company numerous times, but got no answer. THIS DOES NOT MAKE ME TRUST THE COMPANY if they cannot answer about the change. Cans with February date on bottom are the ones my cat won’t touch. I hope Chewy will stop sending these cans.

#8 on ingredient list - Taurine

    By on

First, to address those that say there is no Taurine... just checked the can I have and Taurine is the 8th item on the ingredient list. Now on to my issue with this food and the reason for 3 stars... My Little Lion has been my cats (4 of them) favorite since my local pet store started carrying the brand... that is until they changed the formula of the Chicken flavor. They licked the plates clean with the old version... not any more... won't touch it. Do not know what they did or why they did it because the company did not answer the message I sent them. There is no phone number listed on their site so I could not call to talk to someone. Now I am the search once again for a chicken wet food First, to address those that say there is no Taurine... just checked the can I have and Taurine is the 8th item on the ingredient list. Cat loves it

    By on

My very picky cat loves this as a replacement since Wild Calling went out of business. For those worried about the taurine, it's naturally occurring in chicken muscle (and other animals). It's not always an additive in food if the protein is real, not by product or meal, and when it is listed as an ingredient it is artificial.

    Wait! Not complete food!

    By on

My cat likes the food, but the warning that it's for "supplemental" feeding only gave me pause. Had to study the ingredients list for awhile to realize what's missing is taurine. Why? They've added so many nutrients to it, why not taurine? .... And now I have flats of chicken, duck, rabbit and turkey! ... I wonder if I can find taurine I can add to it.

    Kitty loves the chicken flavor

Finicky kitty here. Glad to see this brand is sold via Chewy! Although it say supplemental feeding only, kitty eats this as wet, with dry kibble on the side. We’ve gone through countless brand wet food products, so far this one is working!

Only canned food my cats will eat

    By on

They were addicted to Wild Calling but it’s not to be found anymore. This food has better ingredients and they love it. Wish it came in turkey too.
