    Not worth the money

By SuperSenior on Dec 14, 2021

No difference seen. However I have an n= 1 and no controls such as him not on Myos. He is a very active now 15 year old Aussie that has been on it for 6 months. Yes he is 15, he had a stroke at the beginning of using it, he plays fetch regularly, and goes to physical therapy weekly. Physical therapy took 6-8 months to show a true difference and I agree with his neurological deficits from his stroke it is hard to assess if Myos could or is helping. Now as a cell & molecular scientist, don't waste your money. Only a study with TPLOs and not super seniors. This is a simple protein it is not a cure all some reviews claim. Protein stability is notoriously difficult albeit somewhat worked out in No difference seen. However I have an n= 1 and no controls such as him not on Myos. Protein stability is notoriously difficult albeit somewhat worked out in lots of applications, but a canine supplement that is room temperature stable? Then your going to drop this protein in a vat of acid (stomach) and still get it functionally delivered to the tissues and cells of choice? As a cell and gene therapist we are still working that out and it costs a whole lot more! Do I still continue to buy it because I will do literally anything for him, yes. But it's for some silly emotional reason not logical that it is working or worth the money just in case it maybe helps a smidge. … more

I was told great things about it, but in practice I didn't find it very useful

By Beck on Dec 9, 2021

We train agility and I have had issues with maintaining muscle mass on my border collie. I have experimented with tweaking food amounts and have decided that he needs more protein but not more calories so I tried this. There was no discernible difference in his muscle mass between the start and end of the package. I have since decided not to reorder and to instead focus on switching him to a lower carb, higher protein diet as I experimented with that and found it to work almost immediately.

    Vet recommended

By Vera on Dec 24, 2021

Our Shepard/Husky mix is over 14 yrs old, has arthritis and seemed to be losing some muscle mass. Vet recommended this and she chows her food with this sprinkled in. She seems to be more active and moving around better. So far it's only been a week so it's hard to say if there has been muscle gain but definite improvement in her general activity.

Really need to upgrade the packaging

By Petparent on Oct 14, 2021

Just received the product and have yet to try it but as several reviewers have stated the packaging needs attention by someone in the company that cares. The ziplock fails after the first opening due to the particulates of the product inside. Be prepared to transfer it to a different air tight container upon receipt. For the price it would seem they could put it in a screw top container and save favor with it’s customers. I purchase several supplements for my dogs. Not one comes in a ziplock bag.

    Cheap Packaging a Problem

By DoggyMom on Aug 17, 2021

I bought this on the recommendation of my dog's physical therapist. Frankly, I can't tell if it's benefitting her at all. She is deteriorating but perhaps this product is slowing that down. No way to tell. HOWEVER, I am extremely disappointed with the lousy packaging. As another rater mentioned it has a seal like a Ziploc bag. But the seal comes off the bag quickly. My most recent experience was that it failed in less than a week. So I have to transfer the powder to another air-tight container. Given the price of this product it seems to me they should definitely provide high quality packaging. To sell what they tout as a high quality product in such cheap, low-quality packaging makes no sense I bought this on the recommendation of my dog's physical therapist. Too early to tell

By PasoPerson on Aug 23, 2021

This product was recommended by my veterinarian for my 14.5 year old Samoyed. He has progressive weakness in the rear, and she thought it might help him, as other clients have tried it with some good results. He has been on it for a couple of weeks - no big changes yet. The manufacturer says that it can take 6-8 weeks to see results, so I am still hopeful. On the plus side, he doesn't mind it in his food, and there have been zero GI impact. (a good thing with a heavy coat dog!)

    MY DOG LOVES IT!!!

By Katherine on Aug 2, 2021

I ordered this for my 11 year old Doberman. Within the past few months, he's stopped jumping on the bed and has a difficult time getting in the car, so after reading the reviews, I thought I would try it. I ordered the small bad to make sure he could tolerate it and he does. He loves the taste. He hasn't been on it long enough to notice a difference, but I ordered the large bag this time. Hoping to see results soon.

    Thought it would help more

    By 1111 on Jul 15, 2021

I bought this product as a recommendation from my Chiro vet. As expensive as it is I was excited to try it. Needless to say I was disappointed. It is made with eggs and must be kept in the refrigerator. Because of the eggs, my girl who has constant GI issues, was met with a ton of gas. I decided to take her off because it really didn’t help her at all and it caused a lot of disruption to her intestines because of the ingredients. So if your dog has a sensitive stomach or G.I. issues, I do not recommend this product.

    So far, so good

By MoodyBend on Jul 17, 2021

My dog Freddie is 14 and losing muscle mass, as most older dogs do. He is still very active and I want him to continue to be able to go on hikes with us without getting fatigued. I started this supplement only a week ago so I am unsure what the results are as of yet. It is easy to add to food, it seems palatable, and it makes me feel good knowing I am doing what I can to help Freddie age with some grace.
