Initial investment was steep, and adding panels isn't cheap. The system does the trick, and keeps my 4-month old puppy corralled in a room where he can get into a lot of trouble. The gate is very easy to open and close, and he actually goes into this voluntarily. The downside is that I have no doubt he will be able to jump over this thing by the time he is 12 months ... or worse, will get stuck trying. The only time I feel like I can leave him in this pen is when I am in the house or in the room. If that is what you are looking for, then its worth the investment, particularly if your dog isn't going to get that big.
