Sturdy, tall, and a functional cat (or little dog) door!

We have various gates in our house, and this one is my favorite. I wish I'd found it sooner - it's better than the other 3 gates we have and I would have just purchased multiple of this one. - Great height - Our dog can't jump it unlike our other 30" gate - It's sturdy enough that our 40lb meatball can't move it (we drilled to install) - Wide door opening (much bigger and better than our other gates) - 90 degree prop and "auto-close" mechanisms work well - Best of all, the cat/dog door is actually functional - it's adjustable and has a great locking mechanism. We found a height where our cat can get through but our dog can't (he's 40lbs and has made it through other "cat" doors in gates.) No unnecessary hacks or modifications needed - this one just works! If we're gating the dog are around, we don't bother locking the bottom lock (just the top), but if we're leaving him gated, we make sure to lock the bottom lock too.

This gate is RIDICULOUS! Between our kids and dogs, we’ve had many different gates over the years. I don’t think we’ve ever had to even follow instructions putting them all together because they’ve all just been straightforward. The only reason we got this one was because we needed a tall one. This gate took FOREVER to put together, the instructions were totally unclear. Even the video was inconsistent with what needed to be done. The worst!

Does the job.

Needed an extra tall AND wide gate to prevent the pup from getting into the LR and kit when we’re away from home. This gate has worked as needed/expected. Assembly instructions leave a lot to be desired. Eventually had to go to YouTube in order to complete the job. Don’t plan to set this up unless you have help and at least an hour of time to devote.

This is what we needed. Our pup was able to climb the last gate not to mention we had to step over it. I love the door and the cat door. Nice, sturdy gate.

The design is great- just what we needed. However, the welds on some of the pickets are barely there. Fairly sloppy. Attached pics of a good weld and the Friday afternoon ones. Also, we just installed it a week ago and the hand latch at the top is starting to stick in the open position. It seems a little worse on each use. I'll bet we'll be using a bungee cord fairly soon to keep it closed.

This gate was easy to install and works well to keep our grumpy cat contained away from our other cats. It’s easy to open and close and stays open when we don’t need a barrier. I’m very happy with this purchase.
