Give your pet his very own paw-sonal space with MyPet’s Extra Wide Wire Mesh Gate. Designed for those extra-wide openings in your home, this wooden gate is ideal to keep your pet safely contained. This gate is 32 inches tall and uses pressure mounts to easily and securely keep it in place—that means no hardware or drilling required! The rigid vinyl-coated brown wire mesh panels easily adjust to fit openings in your home that are between 29.5 to 50 inches wide. And best of all, the frame of the gate is purposely designed with a neutral color to help keep your walls clean and free of marks.
Ideal for wide openings, like the entrance to the kitchen or living room.
No hardware needed to secure mounting so it's easy to setup.
Position gate, and lock it in place, it's really that simple.
Side bumpers don't mark walls this is great for rental properties.
Adjusts to fit extra-wide openings 29.5 - 50 inches wide and is an extra tall 32-inches high.
Small Breeds, Medium Breeds, Large Breeds, All Breeds
Measure the width of the opening where your gate will be used.
While holding the gate with the locking bar toward you (numbers will be upright), lift the locking bar and slide the locking pin into the slot that matches the opening size.
Push down on the locking bar. This should put pressure on the 4 rubber bumpers holding the gate in place. If the gate is still loose in the opening, move the locking pin to the next slot until you get a good, solid fit in the opening. Do not force the locking bar down. This could put too much pressure on the gate, causing damage to your opening, the gate, or both. (The locking bar will have a slight bow. However, if the bow is large, ease off one slot, making sure it still has a good, solid hold in the opening).
To open the gate, simply pull up on the locking bar.
I needed a simple physical barrier to keep my nearly 11-year-old dog from wandering off our patio, and this serves exactly that purpose. I don't have to worry about him trying to jump over it or knock it over, so I didn't want to shell out for anything fancy. Out of the box, the materials look and feel to be of good quality. Reminds me of gates we had in my house when I was a kid. This gate is mostly just going to sit in one spot, and I don't need it to really perform beyond that, so I'm satisfied. If you have a similar need but are nervous about the bad reviews, as I was, I say go for it.
Good product great value

I have used these for many years. They are the widest I can find. They are a great temporary solution to closing off a doorway or wide hallway. I have read that some people are not happy with the quality. If you want something more permanent you will have to pay more. These gates are a great value and the quality is very good for the price. Mine have lasted for years and I recently bought more for my cottage.
Not Infinitely Adjustable for All Size Door Openings

I was looking for a pet gate that would fit the bottom of my stairs. Our elderly cat has been having incontinence problems and I didn't want her on the upstairs carpets. The gate I was looking for had to have small enough openings that my cat couldn't get through it and be tall enough to discourage her from jumping over it. I also didn't want to be drilling holes in my banister so I was looking for something pressure-mounted. This seemed to fit the bill.
Unfortunately, when this gate arrived, I discovered that it's not exactly tension mounted and it's not infinitely adjustable. One setting was too wide, another was too skinny. We've spent the last two months just leaning the gate against the bottom stair, which seemed to discourage our cat but was always precariously balanced and often fell down.
Yesterday, our cat figured out how to get around it, so it's useless to us. If we hadn't had it for so long by now, I'd beg to return it.… more
Gate keeps me safe

This gate works so well in the kitchen. My bed is moved in here, as well as my toys, when Mom and Dad need to go shopping, etc. I needed an extra wide one to fit the space. Easy to install...pressure applied on either side of the doorway.

A lightweight gat that is easy to use that even my Bengal Cat does not jump over - yet. I love that it is adjustable and comes fully assembled. I move it around to different parts of the house and porch. Best thing I bought myself last year.

I love this style of gate, always used it for my dogs growing up and it was very easy to pop in doorways and move from door to door, so getting a dog as an adult I wanted one just like it. No hardware, no drilling into door frames. It's very sturdy, very well made, and pops into door frames easily. I live in a 100 year old house and some of the door frames are a little odd, but this gate still works.

The new gate keeps my beagle out of the living room. He has tried to get through but gave up. In the past, I have barricaded the doorway with items but he is strong and pushed them away and entered the living room. I think this is the solution to my problem.
Waste of money

Broke almost immediately. It was no match for my 110 lb rottie. Don't waste your money if you dog is over 25 lbs

I love the height of this gate. It also fits really well at the top of my stairs. I am using it for my dog and my daughters to keep them from going down the back stairs on our deck. It’s very easy to install and it fits securely and snug at the top of the stairs.
Great stair blocker

Purchased this because we have a blind pug. He walks down the hardwood floors early in the morning and if we don’t get up and track him he will fall down the stairs because he is blind. This gate blocker is excellent and easy to set up. He will come down the floor and when he gets to the gate he stops and waits for us to release the gate and let him outside to do his morning rest stop! Pug weighs 22 lbs and he stops each time waiting now for us to release the gate.
