I have 1 year old cat. Need gate high enough and with openings small enough so cat won't jump over it or crawl through grate or rods. Want to leave a solid door to bedroom open where cat is with gate in place so she can see me in hallway. How does this 32" high gate work for cats?
Answer by ChewyAug 29, 2018
This gate measures 32 inches high. It will work for some cats however, some cats are able to jump quite high, so it would depend on the ability and determination of the cat.

what are the dimensions of the mesh openings
Answer by ChewyOct 18, 2017
The mesh spaces on each side of the gate are 1 1/4 inches wide and all other mesh holes are 1 1/2 inches wide. Each mesh hole is 2 inches high.

Could I stack two of these gates vertically if my cat is able to jump over the first gate?
Answer by ChewyJul 12, 2019
This gate is not currently designed to be stacked.

Can you use two of the theses gates together? I have a space 60 inches that I need to close off. Did not know if they would be stable enough together and hold. Thanks
Answer by ChewyDec 18, 2017
This product would not be stable enough with more than 1.

Quality rough

I had the same gate but, it had gotten warped. The new one came and the surface of the pull bar is extremely rough to the point of getting splinters if you're not careful. The feel of the wood overall is rough, but not as bad. Could have used some sanding. The metal was so tight I had to pry open with a screwdriver. I love the design especially for small dogs. I don't have to worry about puppies getting their head stuck or those made with plastic that can be chewed. Unfortunately, the quality has suffered. I will still use the gate.

Not sure if specific to this one item or not

Was unable to lift bar that locks the gate in place, the metal clamp was too tight to get open, had to have friend who is very strong and good with tools pry it open. Expanded the clamp a bit but continues to be difficult to open and close.

Nice gates

I really like the gates. They are heavy duty and easy to use. I also think they are reasonable priced as well.

Great gate

We needed this for a pup who has tried to go upstairs to a loft. Perfect for our needs and reasonably priced

Great looking but didn't work

My senior lady is suffering from spinal pain and needs to be set up in a safe space to seriously limit any jumping or slipping. The notches on this gate that ensure the correct amount of pressure is applied to keep it in place were not effective relative to the size of my door frame, that is, the lower setting was too slack and the gate toppled over, OR it was too tight and could not be closed. I do not recommend ordering this product.

Expandable per gate

This gate really doesn’t function well at all and very fragil wood difficult to expand. Felt like I may break it trying ti set up which I never achieved.

Wire mesh gate for puppy

Very cheap quality. Difficult to open. I have raised dogs for over 40 years and this gate was average cost but extremely cheap quality. Don’t waste your money.

Hard to tighten

This is difficult to work. It is awkward to open wider, as it doesn’t move very smoothly. More importantly, the locking mechanism has set positions, and if these do not match up to your opening it is hard to get it tight. My 30 pound puppy easily knocks it loose.
