i thought cats didn't really chew and that's why there has never been a chew type of treat. Please enlighten!
Answer by ChewySep 17, 2019
While not for all cats, there are a large number of cats who get pleasure from chewing, as a dog would. There are also many benefits for feline teeth when given the proper chew toys and treats.

Are these sticks soft or are they hard and more difficult to work through than a soft stick?
Answer by ChewyJul 14, 2017
These treats are soft.

Are these safe for any age cat or kitten?
Answer by ChewyDec 18, 2018
N-bone cat chew treats are an all natural, edible, and digestible chew treat for cats of all ages.

How many sticks in package
Answer by ChewySep 02, 2018
The quantity of treats will vary due to this product being based on weight.

Our cat is obsessed

Our cat Rumi loves to chew things so I wanted to get him a healthy chew treat and he can’t get enough lol. He gets one in the morning and one at night. He’s almost dog like and knows exactly what I mean when I say “want your chicken stick?” I highly recommend for food motivated and heavy chewer kitties!!

Great for our "dog cat"

This product is great for any cat that loves to chew on things. We have one in particular that likes to eat non food items (she was very malnourished when we adopted her at 8 months old) and these treats are perfect for her. She does act more like a dog than a cat a lot of the time but we are happy that we have this option to give her. These treats are not for every cat (we have two others that do not like them) but are perfect for the ones that need something to chew on.

definitely a favorite!

Our older cats aren’t really into these, but if you’ve had a couple of younger cats, you know they seem to go through a “chewing everything” phase after their first birthday. Our pandemic cat is there now, and she loves these! She chews them, grabs them with her front paws, throws them, and then hides them under the area rug and plays hide-and-seek with herself. And yes, eventually she chews them to bits small enough to eat. We just added them to our auto shipment of cat food, since she’s going through a few of them a week while we’re working.

Infamous product

You know that felines taste food with their nose before they do it with their tongue. My cat smelled it and turned away; she wouldn't even try it.

Not used by two felines

Lenny and Brucie found these fun to chase when thrown but didn't use them to chew and never understood that they are edible. I don't know why, as they are soft, but no matter how hard I tried to get them to eat them, they would not.

Great for chewers! Supervision required

My 1 year old cat loves to chew on anything he can find. He likes the treats that are like jerky for cats but he eats them too quickly. These provide a fun challenge and he will play with them a bit too. Do be sure to supervise while they eat them though. They are so tough that you want to make sure that they are not eating too big of pieces. I will take it from Gina few times while he is eating to make sure he chews and swallows everything and then will throw the rest of the stick down the hall for him to run after and eat. If it gets to a point where I think he would try to eat what was left all I one bite I cut up what is left and give him the pieces.

My cats wanted nothing to do with these

They were sniffed and my cats walked away. Two cats who are always all in for a treat wanted nothing to do with these.

Great (if your cat likes them)

My cat (a Maine Coon mix) absolutely loves these. I feed him one or two per day, and he responds to them just as excitedly as any other treat. It takes him 3 - 5 minutes to eat one, and it helps him get some extra energy out. The treats don't make a mess, and my cat takes manageable bites. Unlike other treats, it is not practical for me to hold it in my hand while he eats it. I wait for him to bite down, and then let go so he can chew it on the floor. It can be noisy if he eats it on a hard surface, so I usually do this on a rug. I gave one to my friends to try, and their cats didn't even understand that it was food. They didn't so much as lick it, they just batted it around. I'd say, even if your cat likes to chew things, they will also need patience and an appetite to enjoy these.

Not a feline favorite

I have 5 cats. They all looked at me like I was trying to poison them. Even cutting them up didn’t work. They are an odd texture, chewy hard.
