I bought these hoping my teething 3.5 month old mini poodle pup would chew them instead of all the things she’s not supposed to chew. It didn’t work. She did try it and her breath smelled wonderful like a pumpkin spice latte, but they’ve sat out for weeks and she hasn’t bothered with any of them since the day I pulled them out of the package. She still loves furniture and shoes and other naughty things more. I know it’s just a preference thing, but I’m reluctant to buy them again. At least I now know pumpkin flavor is a no-go for my pup.
My puppy (super sensitive stomach) knows exactly what to do with this when I pull the chew ring from the bag! He gently holds it and excitedly prances towards his favorite spot in the house to begin chomping on this ring. He is currently 8 months Doberman and finishes it in less than 15 minutes. When he was 12 weeks old this lasted him over a day (he'd finish half a ring and move on to something else). I initially did fear that it works break to smaller pieces and cause a choking hazard. The ring is hard but upon being chewed it seems soft enough to break down well. I'd recommend supervising until you're certain your puppy is capable of discerning it's ability to be cautious.
Please be extra cautious when giving these teething chews to small dog breeds. My pomeranian is under 4 pounds. She is still growing however I do not recommend that small breeds have these chew rings unattended. This chew ring fit over my dogs head. Please be careful!
These are my golden pup’s #1 treat. It took her about two weeks to figure out that they were edible, and then would slowly chew on them for a while and leave it. Now at 4 months she can finish one in about 10 minutes. These are the perfect treat to pull out when i want her to just settle in one spot and not move. Even in public, her entire focus goes to this treat.
I had good hopes for these rings, but my puppy doesn't like the taste. Also, the rings, when chewed, can have sharp ends, so I do not let them get small enough for the puppy to swallow, even though they are edible. The package perhaps should have a warning about that.
Read the instructions please. My puppy goes through it very fast, when gets to small pieces, I take it out as becomes a chocking hazard. So, you need to watch it! My puppy really enjoys it.
My dog LOVES these treats, especially the pumpkin flavor. It satisfies her love of chewing and she loves the flavor! It's just the right size.
I have 2 four month old English bulldog puppies. At first they weren't sure what to do with the treats but once they got to chewing they loved them. I'd say they probably chewed for a good 30 minutes before the treat was gone. Will order again.
These have been great for my mini doodle puppy. I freeze them and she gets one in her crate at bedtime alternating between this and another chew option. She gets through about half of this and finishes the rest when she wakes up which is great since it will keep her occupied in the morning as well. I will say they have a strong pumpkin smell while she is eating it however it doesnt seem to linger for long. I also havent noticed any staining on her bedding from it which is another plus.
These are great puppy teething rings, my puppy loves them and they keep her from chewing on her toys
