When switching your pet's diet, we recommend transitioning from the current diet to any new Natural Balance Formula over a 5-7 day period. Replace 25% of the current diet with new Natural Balance Formula each day until they are fully transitioned. If you do not have any of your current formula to mix, reduce the amount of formula fed for the first few days, feeding smaller more frequent meals and increase over time. If your pet is more sensitive to change, please allow 10-14 days to fully transition onto the new formula.
I wish I had read the reviews on this foods before I put this on my auto ship, so I'm writing this hoping others won't make the same mistake!! I bought it because I'm trying to figure out a way to help my overweight cat lose a few pounds..... FOUND IT! My cats HATE this food and WILL.NOT.EAT.IT!! So I guess that's a weight loss solution. 😕 It's so hard and dry.... even with adding some warm broth it still won't breakdown enough for my cats to want to eat it.... even with treats added. What a waste of money!
This salmon and chickpea used to be very good. My cat loved the consistency. I cannot fathom what they've done, but now it is so dry......I moistened it with water or pumpkin........nope, cat won't touch it. This used to be one of the less expensive single source protein foods. They now charge premium prices and slacked off on quality........
None of my four cats will eat this food. It's dry and crumbly and smells more of chickpeas than salmon. I tried adding a little water so it would be more of a pate consistency, but they still wouldn't touch it.
Neither of my cats will touch this. I am hoping to be able to return this and get a refund.
None of my cats will eat this food. This includes 5 residents, 6 fosters, and 5 ferals who eat on the porch. It's dry, hard, and tasteless. I bought it when Chewy was having trouble getting Natural Balance, instead of the regular cat food I buy.
My boys used to love Natural Balance's Indoor Cat formula in the pink can. It was all they ate. I don't know what they did, but this is awful. My cats eat about anything and they hate it. It is so dense and dry, I don't blame them. Since it's so expensive and I buy by the case, I mix it up with another cat food and that helps a bit. But I am taking off my autoship and am really disappointed in Natural Balance.
Thick and gross. Not one of my 3 cats will touch it.
This chick pea formula is awful.... natural balance is excellent but this indoor chick pea formula is very dry and hard I took the case to a shelter my cats would not eat one drop of it
I have a cat who is allergic to chicken so fish based foods are often tried. He would not eat this one. We tried to feed it to the little fat cat, who also wouldn’t eat it. We gave the food to the neighbors and neither of their two cats would eat it.
Salmon & chickpea formula has probably 95% chickpea and is the hardest cat food I have ever seen in 45 years. Cats are carnivores not vegetarians. Very disappointed with this wet cat food.
