When switching your pet's diet, we recommend transitioning from the current diet to any new Natural Balance Formula over a 5-7 day period. Replace 25% of the current diet with new Natural Balance Formula each day until they are fully transitioned. If you do not have any of your current formula to mix, reduce the amount of formula fed for the first few days, feeding smaller more frequent meals and increase over time. If your pet is more sensitive to change, please allow 10-14 days to fully transition onto the new formula.

this gave my cat hyperthyroidism
By Tina on Oct 15, 2020
I have a 12 year old 18 pound cat and I started him on this food so he could lose weight. It caused him to get hyperthyroidism really quick and he got super aggressive to get fed constantly. Would not recommend this food.

Just Add Moisture
By Noah on May 19, 2020
I had my cat on the Natural Balance duck pate for a long time, and she really enjoys it (and I saw improvements in her health since she started eating that brand), but as an indoor cat who is not the most active she needed something more tailored to her lifestyle (and less fat content). She took a little bit of time to adjust to the new food, as cats do love their routines, but then I discovered that adding a bit of water or salmon oil to the food and mixing it in takes care of that dryness she is not fond of. An easy fix, and her coat is looking to much better! Now she only gets the duck pate as a treat.

Very thick!
By LittleRed on Jun 16, 2020
The indoor formula is so thick my cats had trouble eating it. and it was very hard to break up. I've had to mix it with water so i can get it to an edible point for them. I will be going back to the standard LID formula on the next order.

Even the strays won't eat it
By ColoradoCatLady on May 29, 2020
My seven cats wouldn't touch this, so I gave it to my mom for the feral stray she feeds--who also wouldn't eat it. Very dry and hard for wet food. I wouldn't recommend.

Salmon Favorite
By DoubleM on Jan 25, 2020
My 4 cats love this limited ingredients formula. It seems to fill them up more than some of the other formulas. (Many people have reviewed it as a little dry and I agree. I find that if I mash it and smooth it with a tablespoon it helps in serving it.)

Only thing my cat with IBD can eat
By Kris on Jun 7, 2019
One of my cats has IBD (sensitive stomach, basically) and has very limited options for food. So far, this is the only thing I've found that has not once made him sick. Plus, my other two cats love it, as well. As noted in other reviews, it is VERY thick for a wet food, and cats, who are not natural chewers, may have trouble eating it. However, this is easily solved--simply add water! I put a tiny bit of water in the bowl with the food, use a spoon to break up the food, and stir it around. Works like a charm.
