Beef Boxer - not crazy about it...

    By on

Prefacing this with my 3 star rating being about my dog's preference in taste. I don't think this is reflective of quality. Our Boxer thrives on beef diets. And with her underbite, small bites seem to help her to eat better. It's difficult to find the small bites and beef, both, in a quality recipe that won't break the bank. I was happy with this food and ingredients, she was less so. Slowly coming around to the food, and initially experiencing diarrhea (yes, it was blended over time), she's finally stabilizing after some pumpkin and altering proportion of mix-in to entice. I don't think she is thrilled but we're going to keep trying with it. This is product brand that I have used with many Prefacing this with my 3 star rating being about my dog's preference in taste. This is product brand that I have used with many dogs having sensitivities, in a shelter environment, with great results, so the quality, in my opinion, is good. My dog just doesn't care for it much. … more

    Needed a change of food

    By on

Harley is a 10 yr old Shih Tzu. He has been on a special prescription kibble since he was 3 years old. He just decided one day he wasn’t going to eat it any longer. I had to find a food that was made for him with his food allergies. That isn’t easy!!!! He is very limited on food. I have always given him Natural Balance Limited treats and he loves them. Well now he loves his new food. Highly recommend for any fur babies with food allergies and highly skin sensitive. Two weeks on this kibble and so far he is doing excellent!!!!

    Too Heavy for Us

    By on

I read about this formula before buying a bag. I usually buy Bison & Sweet Potato, which my hounds seem to do well on. The beef seems to leave them acting a bit constipated. Usually, I add some cooked hamburger & some veggies about 3-4 times per week to supplement their diet. And they get a litte coconut oil 1-2 x per week plus a tablespoon of Plain Greek yogurt as a probiotic. My oldest hound, Chelsea, is 13 & still hiking on the trails with me. I’m glad to report that my other two are happy & active at 9 yo.

    No tummy problems

    By on

My girls eat this brand exclusively since they’ve gotten older. They were on a big name kibble several years back but we fought periodic diarrhea or vomiting. I decided to go with a basic limited diet for them and after researching I settled on Natural Balance LID. They’re so grateful and the bite size is perfect for smaller pets.

Great compliment to home cooked diet.

    By on

I cook food for my dog, a mixture of beef, carrots. green beans, and apples. The vet recommended adding a handful of kibble to insure a balanced nutritional diet. This is the only kibble my dog is not allergic to, and she is 13 going on 6 and is very healthy and active.

    Not a favorite

    By on

My dogs have been on Natural Balance LID for several years. This was my first time trying the high protein LID. My dogs did not like it as much. They eventually ate it but only because they were hungry or I added a little wet food.

Great food for small dogs with allergies

    By on

I have a white poodle and she has very bad issues with gooey eyes, I've given her angel eyes and other supplements to help and she was still struggling with the her eyes.. I didn't really fix the problem til we tried this food. She is eye goo free ever since we switched!

    My dog loves this food

    By on

My french bulldog has stomach problems with pretty much everything, but this food is one that he loves *and* that he digests well, so I'm thrilled that we made the switch.

Not that tasty for the price.

My dog doesn't seem to like it much. I think $30.00 was a bit too much for that size bag.
