Cats won't eat it
I was so hoping this would work for my little guy who has a chicken allergy. He's not very picky but the other one who likes to steal his food is. I was hoping to find him food she would leave alone but he won't eat it either.
3 cats rejected this
I’m not sure what it is about this particular flavor but I’ve tried giving it to 3 different cats and they all rejected it. It’s also mostly broth, way more watery than the tuna in broth from this brand. Lots of little bones too. Make sure your cat likes this flavor before you order the case. Wish I could return it, $30 wasted!
Has bones in it
After my cat finished eating I noticed several small bones left in the bowl. They are hard, but flimsy enough to snap with your fingers. Would like to finish the case, as she likes the food. Then I wonder if little bones in her belly. Do they digest? Will they get stuck in her throat? I'm sure stray cats that eat fish out of river manage. My cat sleeps on a bed and eats kibble.
NOT TO HER LIKING
My cat did not want anything to do with this food. I opened one bag and she refused it totally. Tried again, and the same thing. Very disappointed that it was more liquid and very few little pieces of meat. Would not purchase this again.
Not a fan of this cat food
This packaging makes it near impossible to get all of the food out of it. Also, it’s more broth than food. It is supposed to be fish, but it smells like chemicals. I would not recommend this.
Trying to find replacement
With so many of my cats favorite items out of stock I decided to try this as a replacement for another Natural Balance product - no luck - all 3 cats snubbed it!
Fish Bones =(
Noticed a few fish bones in one pack and then looked in another and found more. Not very soft either.. Will probably through the rest out
Not for Picky Eaters
I have two large cats and they are used to the NB limited ingredient diets but one of them was highly offended by this particular food. The other was quite happy to lap it up.
Natural Balance Whitefish
I’ve seen people complain about this food and the packaging. I don’t find the packaging to be a problem. I just use a spoon to get everything from the bottom. If it’s keeping my cats food fresh I’m happy. This is literally the only wet food my cat can eat. She has been very ill on and off for 3 years. We had an allergy test done only to find that she’s allergic to all proteins accept whitefish. This was the only food we could find that has limited ingredients and nutrients for a cats health. She’s not been sick since we changed her diet. She’s able to eat a little bit of dry kibble that is mostly cod which is a white fish as well. My thanks to Natural Balance. In the future I’m hoping they’ll make something even more cat friendly, because there are still a couple of things in this that my cat shouldn’t eat. Also thanks to Chewy for carrying it.
A BIG YES for cats with IBD
Both of our cats love this although I only feed it as a main source of protein to one of them. 5 y/o kitty with IBD and this is the only thing she can digest. It is pricey and the packaging isn't great as others have said but it saved our cat, and for that it gets a solid 4 stars.
