Adult cats: Adult cats should be fed either once or twice per day. When you first start feeding Natural Balance® L.I.D. Limited Ingredient Diets® Green Pea & Chicken Dry Cat Food, we suggest to start with the amounts recommended in the table. The amount of food should always be adjusted to suit your cat’s needs. If you would like to provide a special treat for your cat, you can add small amounts of Natural Balance® L.I.D. Limited Ingredient Diets® Chicken & Green Pea Canned Cat Food. Gestating and Lactating Queens: Gestating and lactating queens will consume more food, usually an additional 1/2 - 2 daily. Older cats: As your cat begins to age, his energy expenditure will decrease. Decreasing the amount of food accordingly will allow for the maintenance of proper body weight for your less active cat. Older cats are sometimes more reluctant to eat hard foods. Adding larger amounts of Natural Balance® L.I.D. Limited Ingredient Diets® Chicken & Green Pea Canned Cat Food will help the most "finicky" eater enjoy their daily meals.
These feeding guidelines are suggested only. Feeding amounts may vary by breed, activity level, temperament and climate. Amounts are recommended for an average cat with normal activity.
We recommend that you do not add vitamins, minerals or any other supplements, except upon the advice of a veterinarian. The maintenance of proper body weight is most important for your cat’s health. Consult your veterinarian for specific weight recommendations for your cat. Remember, fresh clean water should be available at all times!
When switching your cat’s diet, the change should be made gradually, by replacing the current food with increasing portions of Natural Balance® L.I.D. Limited Ingredient Diets® Green Pea & Duck Dry Cat Food. The change should be completed after 5 - 7 days.

Trial for Food Sensitivity, One Cat is Iffy On It
By Hercules on Oct 6, 2018
I switched from Science Diet Adult Optimal Care to this food to see if one of my cats has a food sensitivity. Still waiting longer to see if there an improvement in overgrooming but the fur does seem a bit softer and less greasy. I also like how small the food pieces are because the same cat occasionally regurgitates and I have yet to see him do so with this food. My second cat sometimes rejects this food so I will give her some of the leftover Science Diet with it. Both like the wet food version though.

Saved my cats life
By Orion on Oct 11, 2018
It's still a little early to declare victory but... One of my cats developed a auto immune disorder. His paws were inflamed and bleeding and he was headed for the rainbow bridge. I have food allergies myself to I started researching food and saw a review about this LID. Long story short, he's not out of the woods yet but he has improved greatly. I think he's going to make a full recovery.

Natural Balance Duck and Green Pea
By angie392 on Sep 13, 2018
At least six of the 8 cats here will eat this food. I purchased this for a cat that I though should be on a limited ingredient diet. Added to his problems is that he has no teeth. My idea was to add water to the food so that it would be soft for him to eat at his pleasure and he does. His health problem causes him to be hungry all the time so having the soft food out during the night is working for him.

Picky cat loves this food!
By Picky on Sep 22, 2018
I like to mix 2 different foods for my cat’s daily grazing and I like to try different foods occasionally. Sometimes he doesn’t care for a new food but he took right to the Natural Balance.

Cat loves it!
By Gail on Aug 15, 2018
My cat was constantly licking herself raw. She also had rock hard stool which she sometimes dropped outside her litter box. Since she has been eating Natural Balance Green Pea & Duck Formula all of her raw spots have healed, her stool has softened and is always in her litter box.

sensitive tummy
By Tracy on Aug 15, 2018
My cat has a sensitive stomach and has had issues with bloody and mucousy stool (TMI?) but this along with some probiotics have helped a bunch. I know everyone is different but she seems to be healthier being on it and she still loves eating it after all this time.

great budget friendly alternative to prescription food
By 2cathouse on Jul 30, 2018
I was using Royal Canin PD for my cats with food sensitivities and one w/ IBD. The expense was really breaking the budget so decided to try this-and so far my most sensitive guy continues to do really well and all of my 3 cats love it...very happy to have found it. And Chewy is the best!

Happy Cats with gorgeous coats
By PlumNearly on Jul 26, 2018
My cats love this food. I tried switching to something else and it was a bust. They ended up refusing to eat the new food and then when the gave in, they had bald patches. So, back to their favorite natural balance duck! In short order they were back looking great and they were eating happily again: )

Simply good grub!
By Jeskoscher on Jul 31, 2018
I like the idea that there are only a few ingredients. My cat Charlie likes it so much he mumbles and purrs his rusty little purr while gobbling it down. Health for our cat is very important to us. This brand is great and reliable.
