Adult cats: Adult cats should be fed either once or twice per day. When you first start feeding Natural Balance® L.I.D. Limited Ingredient Diets® Green Pea & Chicken Dry Cat Food, we suggest to start with the amounts recommended in the table. The amount of food should always be adjusted to suit your cat’s needs. If you would like to provide a special treat for your cat, you can add small amounts of Natural Balance® L.I.D. Limited Ingredient Diets® Chicken & Green Pea Canned Cat Food. Gestating and Lactating Queens: Gestating and lactating queens will consume more food, usually an additional 1/2 - 2 daily. Older cats: As your cat begins to age, his energy expenditure will decrease. Decreasing the amount of food accordingly will allow for the maintenance of proper body weight for your less active cat. Older cats are sometimes more reluctant to eat hard foods. Adding larger amounts of Natural Balance® L.I.D. Limited Ingredient Diets® Chicken & Green Pea Canned Cat Food will help the most "finicky" eater enjoy their daily meals.
These feeding guidelines are suggested only. Feeding amounts may vary by breed, activity level, temperament and climate. Amounts are recommended for an average cat with normal activity.
We recommend that you do not add vitamins, minerals or any other supplements, except upon the advice of a veterinarian. The maintenance of proper body weight is most important for your cat’s health. Consult your veterinarian for specific weight recommendations for your cat. Remember, fresh clean water should be available at all times!
When switching your cat’s diet, the change should be made gradually, by replacing the current food with increasing portions of Natural Balance® L.I.D. Limited Ingredient Diets® Green Pea & Chicken Dry Cat Food. The change should be completed after 5 - 7 days.

More Natural Option for Cats
By Rach on Feb 22, 2021
I am super picky about what I feed my cats and I always lean toward anything natural. While doing research, I found that almost every cat food has potassium chloride in the ingredients which is actually ultimately lethal for pets/ anyone to ingest. This food does not seem to have that ingredient.

Picky Approved
By HanBam on Dec 29, 2020
I usually purchase the duck variety, but my cat seemed to become bored of that one throughout the years and she is picky. She LOVES this one and it does not irritate her sensitive self. Very happy.

Wont buy again.
By Funtime on Oct 7, 2020
I have 3 cats. 2 girls and a boy. Both my girls have been vomiting this food up all over the house. The boy held it down but refused to eat it after about 5 days. Chewy rocks but my cats give this food a BIG THUMBS DOWN.

Crumbs in bag
By Ellen on Jul 4, 2020
I have always been pleased with this food. My Gracie loves it. But the last two bags have contained a great deal of crumbs. I have to sift out the crumbs to get to the biscuits. Very annoying and a waste.

Great cat food!
By Bear on Jul 11, 2020
Love this product! Cats love it too! If you have young cats with underdeveloped digestive systems or cats with very sensitive stomachs, feed them the version with salmon.

Diet catfood
By Moose on Apr 16, 2020
Comparing diet foods, this one came out on top. My cat likes it and it seems to satisfy him whereas with other brands, he was always hungry. Could not find it at my local pet food store. Chewy has it.

Not The Product I Remember...

Years ago; late 90s and mid 2000s I fed this to cats that were Indoor Only (they have since passed away) and it was a reliable source of quality nutrition, they ate it without issue. I've recently been on a quest to at last discover a food that isn't a source of issue for my 3 special need cats, 2 of which are feral/rescues that have very delicate digestive systems since they haven't had quality food source for their entire lifetime, and the other cat is FelV Pos. Both Feral developed severe diarrhea after feeding them Nutrish Natural Chicken & Brown Rice. Also one of them now has awful itching/skin irritations. The vet has dewormed, flea treated, antibiotics have been rendered... the Years ago; late 90s and mid 2000s I fed this to cats that were Indoor Only (they have since passed away) and it was a reliable source of quality nutrition, they ate it without issue. Both Feral developed severe diarrhea after feeding them Nutrish Natural Chicken & Brown Rice. Also one of them now has awful itching/skin irritations. The vet has dewormed, flea treated, antibiotics have been rendered... the issues are likely food related, so it's frustrating to see them suffer over something they have to rely upon me to receive = food! I've tried to find foods, both wet and dry, that are limited ingredient no wheat, no corn, possibly oat for fiber... rabbit based, without CHICKEN in case the cats are reacting to CHICKEN (seems to be in every formula). I'm limited on funds (retired/SS) so can't afford those $50 rabbit ingredient foods from other countries. sigh. If only we could try foods a couple of cans vs. cases... As it goes, the FelV Pos cat doesn't eat it / can't have dry food due to megacolon. I fed the food to another FelV Pos cat that has since died of the disease. Desperate to cease the diarrhea I've tried 3 additional brands: Natural Balance L.I.D... Purina Pro Plan FOCUS Sensitive Skin & Stomach Blue Buffalo Sensitive Stomach Chicken Recipe (I don't know if naming other brands is a taboo in reviews, but I'm going to error on the side of helping the cats and call those brands out by name) Natural Balance L.I.D. does not compare to Blue Buffalo... The cats do not eat this one. Possibly the formula, possibly the kibble size (quite large in comparison to BBuffalo) The cats won't eat this one. It sat in the bowls. I refreshed the supply after a couple of days, still it sat. PICS FOR KIBBLE SIZE COMPARISON (LEFT)Natural Balance (CENTER)Purina FOCUS (RIGHT) Blue Buffalo Sensitive … more

Recently Changed the Formula
By cari on Jan 23, 2020
I have fed this food to my cats for years. It was the best. Chicken used to be the first ingredient. Now peas are the first ingredient and chicken is third. So disappointed in this company. It used to be quality food, but just like every company..they eventually start cutting corners and the quality suffers. Very sad. So hard to find a decent food with real chicken as the main ingredient.
