Good canned food
We needed to switch our dogs food to one with a grain in the recipe. So after some pretty extensive research we decided to try Natural Balance. Our little guy loves this food. So far he’s done great on this food.
Yuck
So thick had to add water to mix it.
Didn't Like This One
I tried for the first time this brand. The name on the brand seems good. But, when you open it up it smells like the old "Skippy" dog food from the 50's. It was junk. This too is junk. I read the label information before buying it. It seemed OK. But it does not have brown rice as stated. I was wondering what those white pieces were left over in the dogs' bowels. Its white rice not brown. Believe me I know the difference as I cook both. I have 7 dogs. I feed them kibble and mix in the wet for flavor. So one can is divided by 7 in the morning and once again in the evening. Some of the dogs didn't like the flavor. Two got very loose stools. I also did not like that you need a can opener to open these guys and they seem to not be easy on the can opener as well. Anyway, I believe Chewy is refunding me on both these cases. As I bought the Beef formula as well and found the same issues. The Beef did not stink as bad as the Lamb however.
Inconsistent Fill
So there is no misunderstanding, I LOVE Chewy! When I order food for my dogs, it arrives the very next day! Incredible! Regarding this canned food, my dogs love it! My only complaint is that the cans are inconsistent in the amount of dog food they contain. Usually they are full to the top, as you would expect. However, I have opened several cans where the product is almost an inch down from the top of can! I have pictures to prove it. (Attached)
The girls say Yummy
This is a NEW can food for me. I add 1FAT Tbs for the big dog( 8 yr old Rottie)& 1 tsp for the puppy( 13 week old GWP). Add A little hot water = gravy, to go over their kibble. Both seem to love- ingredients sound good-& both my girls do better on salmon and Lamb based products over chicken.
Doggo loves it!
We supplement our dog's food with this in the evenings and she loves it! This kind of dog food is actually pretty non-offensive to serve to her (it doesn't smell as bad/look as gross some other brands). We switch between two flavors and she's always very happy with it!
Picky dog won’t eat it
Seems like quality food but my dog is picky and after one can won’t eat it anymore.
I feel so good about feeding this to my dogs!
They love all the varieties of this canned food, so I change it up every case. I don’t get the grain-free anymore, though. It’s just good high-quality food. I mix it with dry and they spin around in happiness at every meal!
