It works better than pine pellets!
So, the "charcoal" smell on this thing is not great especially when my cat pees on it. It really does amplify the pee smell - and he doesn't really have a strong pee smell (he's neutered). I have 3 cats (my 4th passed away) but only one uses the litter box I use this in and I keep the box in my bedroom bc he has some litter box issues. The pros are: one bag of this has last me a 1+ month with only one cat using it, it clumps well, hardly any dust, no tracking, good for the environment and my cat. The cons are: the bag is so small, the smell of the charcoal doesn't help mask the smell that is coming out of my cat. If they had an unscented version, I would try that. I don't hate this product but I don't love it entirely either. It's good, not great. And I'm glad that my cat took to it well and his litter box issue became less of a traumatic experience for him since switching him to this from pine pellets. I will keep this in my "favorites" and buy it from time to time.
So far I love this litter. I have four (used to be six) cats and was using a corn litter that tracked and was very dusty. This litter is neither. I read some reviews that complained of odor, I don’t notice any odor but am home all day so am cleaning cat boxes every time I see they are used. I have five cat boxes so need a litter that is unscented, flushable, dust free and as natural a product as possible, clay is a big no-no. So far this litter is doing the job.
Not exactly what I was expecting, it clumps to much. Thanks again
I bought the charcoal to try to replace the green tea TofuKitty litter I used for the past several years but just went out of business. Unfortunately this brand not only did NOT mask the smell of urine but seemed to amplify it. Everyday I went to scoop out the litter box my eyes would water with the strength of the ammonia smell and my whole house stunk of litter-did not last a month and had to use two bags because the amount you get is only enough to fill to about an inch of a standard size litter box - making it twice as expensive to use. The charcoal pellets are also much smaller and compact than the Unscented and Milk version of this brand.
A wonderful litter.
I bought this litter for my cat and he loved it, from now on we are loyal customers. The lavender smell is pretty good, we are using it now and my cat is doing well. We used to be TofuKitty customers but since they get out of bussiness this is the best replacement we found. Thank you!
The perfect product !!
Tired of pick-up dust made by my cat !!! I found Natural Paw Cat Litter and has changed my life and of my little furry. This litter is flushable, environmentally friendly, reduces solid volume waste and odor control is the best. the features give me a solution for my cats.
smells like a barn
I wanted to love this litter. I could not stand the smell of the bathroom the litter box is in after a day. It smelled like a barn or small animal cage. It was really gross. My cats didn’t seem to link the litter either. They peed in it but would not poop. I switched back to our old little after 24 hours and I am back on the search for something else. It did a good job of not tracking all over but was a little tricky to scoop. Over all I was very disappointed by the smell.
Love this but the bag is small
I really like the tofu litter! My cat is not picky about litter sand but I am lol. My cat bring litter sand everywhere and this one is most less messy one I’ve found so far. Only thing I rated -1 star is the bag is smaller than I thought and doesn’t look like last one month for one cat as it’s already not enough in there from the beginning.
Holy grail of cat liter
I am on the search for natural clumping cat liter that my cats don’t track through my house. I settled on okocat because no smell but tracked very badly. So I tried this, I figured it could not be worse than the corn, wheat, or grass cat liter which stunk to high heaven and made a mess. So this litter smells like a fish tank (the charcoal I guess) but no tracking. My cats do kick it out but its not bad. It clumps up and looks like a moldy donut, at least one cats pee does. But when i scoop out it stays solid until it hits container then breaks apart. Poop is easy to scoop. Nothing sticks to scooper. I will try unscented next time and yes it costs a lot more but I think it lasts longer. Not sweeping the house 2x time a day and having cat litter stuck to my feet or in my bed is priceless though.
pretty good for a tofu litter
My cat has been using this litter for about 2 months now and it’s good for a tofu litter. I purchased the charcoal and it’s a nice grey color with small pieces. The clump size is what I really like about this litter. It doesn’t clump into a huge lump and assuming you wait a little to pick it up it doesn’t fall into pieces when scooped. As for the smell it’s not so great. I noticed a bit of an odor around 3 weeks in which isn’t really a problem if you have multiple litter boxes for your cat. Just wish this would restock faster so I can replace the smelly litter.
