Is this litter safe and flushable for septic tank and city sewer line
Answer by ChewyOct 30, 2019
This litter is not designed to be flushable. However, it is biodegradable. Only dispose of used cat litter in trash. Do not flush, bury or dispose of it outdoors, in gutters or storm drains to avoid environmental contamination.

is it safe on rabbits and dogs?
Answer by ChewyFeb 24, 2020
The Naturally Fresh Quick-Clumping Cat Litter is made using the fibrous portion of the walnut shells. Additionally, there is a very small amount of a food grade mold inhibitor as well as a small amount of a plant based, food grade clumping agent. All of the Naturally Fresh formulas are non-toxic and 100% biodegradable. However, we recommend you seek medical help in case of excess accidental ingestion.

Best biodegradable brand

I’ve tried almost every budget natural brand and none of them have been even remotely close to this one. Arm and Hammer Multiple Cats, Swheat litter, any type of corn or wheat options I could find. I didn’t like clay and I wanted to go natural, but all of the types I tried still had such a smell to them when I would change out the cat box, especially corn (it smelled strongly of fish?). But as a last ditch effort I went for this brand and I’m very happy with the results. I had clay in one of my boxes, it was starting to smell and my package was arriving in two days, so I borrowed some litter from my roommates. I then changed out the other one when this came in the mail, and this seriously held up better than the clay brand. I got the big bag for two boxes over four weeks and it seems to be doing the trick. Would 100% recommend.

Super litter

I had not tried this litter before, ordered it liked the smell. This is how the new formula I m using now goes 2large scopes of Naturally Fresh Walnut litter and 2large scopes of (arm and hammers) natural corn litter ( yellow bag). Mix the 2 litters. There is no odor at all and kitties don’t seem to have any problems with the change to there litter box. Plus it’s softer on there paws. My experience with litters is they all leave a bit of litter behind no matter what kind is used. I’ve had many cats and this is best so far. (PS.) this was a experiment I was trying) Doesn’t stick to bottom of box.

Horrible litter

My cat hates it. By far the worst cat litter to clean out of the litter box. It sticks inside and I have to literally blow it out with the strong setting on my hose. I had to throw away the litter box and I bought a new one. Unfortunately I bought 4 bags because it was on sale.

Glad I made the switch

So glad I made the switch from traditional litter! This doesn’t track nearly as much and clumps well. I’ve tried so many litters and they all have a terrible smell but, not this one!

Best litter for automatic litter box

Since littermaid did something to the motor of its automatic cleaning litter boxes, scented clumping clay litter is no longer an option. Not even the lighter weight clay works. With multiple cats a scented hard clumping litter is the only way I can get away for a day. I tried scented corn cob but the urine smell was still terrible. With the walnut I don’t have any problems with dust or odors and the littermaid isn’t getting jammed up like with the clay. It was too heavy for these weak motors. The walnut doesn’t turn into a gummy mass that overloads it. The walnut is more expensive but I replaced 6 littermaids last year (most under warranty but still). And I use it in my ferrets’ litter boxes too. Not dusty. People say they can’t smell the litter boxes for cats or ferrets in my house. Good luck if you have littermaid. Been using them for about thirty years.

This litter is too dusty

I've tried a lot of litters because one of my kitties has respiratory problems. So when I heard this was low on dust I had to try it. We really like it! It smells great - taking care of kitty odors. And it tracks way less than other litters I've tried. However it is so dusty, our litter area is covered in brown dust - it's on everything. It even coats the walls. So disappointed. But I gave it 3 stars because we liked all other aspects of the litter.

Love the walnut cat litter

This litter is awesome. O don't go thru as much litter as I did with tradition al litter and odor control is much better and less tracking.i highly recommend it.

Best litter ever!

I have 10 cats that use this and it lasts forever! Doesn't stick to the bottom of the litter box either. Since it is walnut shells, you can compost it and never have to drag heavy trash cans to the curb!
